  1. Rye House team change http://www.ryehouse....am-Changes.aspx Best of luck to Ritchie and welcome Simon Lambert
  2. Not making this as B4E is working, but I'm boycotting the Oak Tree Arena anyway after the shameful treatment I recived from a steward and a Rebels fan on my last visit for the PL meeting with Rye House. Even the promoter couldn't give a toss when I emailed her to voice my concerns, brushing over my complaints with flimsy excuses a general "couldn't care less" attitude... Contrast that with John Campbell of Edinburgh who out of the blue contacted me via a forum PM to offer us free admission to Armadale earlier this month over a year after we'd travelled up to see just two heats.
  3. Don't be too sure... Len has shown that he is already building for next season with the surprise signing of Kasper Likke, who nobody had heard of and has shown promise already in just a couple of meetings... He has been heard despairing at the low crowds this year, so he has the option of building an exciting young side to atempt to get the crowds back... You can guarantee that Ritchie Hawkins won't be in the side after todays shock team news! Noticed Stefan Ekberg on the terraces last night. Maybe he could come up with another exciting young Swede in the Linus mould. Len could also consider a radical shake up of the admissions policy, offering a family ticket (a perennial bugbear of mine) and revamping the presentation, which seems to be stuck in the 70's.
  4. No Charlie for this, so hopefully John Sampford had been on the phone to Jason Doyle. No disrespect to Leigh Lanham, but we need a proper number one for heats 13 & 15. Not aware how badly Ryan Fisher was injured at Peterborough on Monday. Long range forecast is for sun and showers throughout the day. Hopefully that will improve.
  5. I've no more idea about the state of Neathy's health than you, but my gut reaction, speaking to people who've experienced similar injuries, is that he'll take a lot longer to recover. Even if he makes a full recovery he may decide enoughs enough. Luke's case is different. He.would want to be back on a bike as soon as possible. I read somewhere that he's targeting the middle of next year. Can we really afford to use rider replacement for half the season?
  6. Indeed, been some good speedway. Shame that there aren't more there each week to see it. Surely not Lanham at number 1?
  7. The home meeting with Glasgow... More passing, more incidents, more entertaing.
  8. Good win for the Rockets with a depleted side. Comets are understandably happy with a point, but should really have been looking for more. They'll never have a better chance of a win at Hoddesdon, but blew it thanks to a very poor night for Lawson. Very happy with our new signing Kasper, apart from his poor gating he looks the real deal. Jason G had a terrific night, following on from Leicester; no boos tonight! Another poor return from Ritchie, disappointing. Good to see Adam Roynon looking so quick. Still think he needs to be riding in the National Leage to gain confidence? Do me a favour! Like CityRebel I thought the track was left far too dry, I'm sure the weather forecast has a lot to do with it, but thankfully very little dust and the forecast rain didn't materialise thankfully. Not the best meeting we've had at Rye this year, but nowhere near the worst. We have the basis of a very good side next year. I'd keep 4 of this line up and ditch the rest.
  9. I'm only around 20 mins away in Potters Bar, so may as well join you and take my chances
  10. That's the 3rd time it's changed today!... The threads this year seem to be dominated by the weather and injuries.
  11. Not finished work until half six, quick wash and brush up and a dash up the A10. Hope it's worth it. Agree with you that it'll be a poor crowd to tonight. Great shame because it should be an entertaining match up, even with weakened sides.
  12. So difficult for promoters to make a call What do you do, run the meeting and risk it being rained off, or call the meeting off early and risk the wrath of the supporters when the promised rain fails to materialise?
  13. That's changed from this morning, so I'd expect Len to give it every chance. Although both sides are weakened we really need to get these meetings run with more rain forecast ahead. Looking forward to seeing how Kasper copes with the Rye House track after a promising debut at Leicester on Saturday
  14. I've already told you I don't follow Scottish football, but I'll promise to Google it in the morning
  15. Ahhh right... They must be having some bad luck then, comet49 said so
  16. Yeah, but I know Superstar1 and know he'd never take the mick as far as injured riders are concerned... My other team is Arsenal, I don't follow Scottish football
  17. I know what happened at Workington on Saturday, but why did that post have in it that upset you so, apart from it mentioned Josh Auty?
  18. Think I'm missing something here... How was that post "taking the mick"?
  19. Beggars can't be choosers Sue. If we only rode when we had our full team out every season would last a decade. Thats what the rider replacement and guest rules are for. Them's the breaks (pardon the pun)
  20. Not had enough rain off's this year Sue? We went into a Northern Tour last weekend without Jordan Frampton who "retired" the day before we were s'posed to leave. You just gotta get on with it. I reckon you'll get your wish though unfortunately.
  21. Rained off by lunchtime I suspect looking at this forecast http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646807?day=1
  22. Or fake a bad back, but race in Poland the following day
  23. Yeah, great venue. Can the stadium accommodate the 40,000+ who will want to watch? My guess is that they are bringing others along who haven't booked
