  1. Can we use your house while you're sleeping in your caravan?
  2. It's been done before, when the BSPA changed the rules mid way through 2006 to punish Rye House & Mildenhall. Ok, that's two teams, but the argument stays the same
  3. Mitchell Davey gets a lot of stick on this forum and elsewhere, which is a shame, because he's probably a really nice bloke, but he should be embarrassed if he took a PL place away from a young Brit. Poor show from the Monarchs promotion
  4. As it happens, Newport was one of my favourite away trips
  5. No, but I've visited Wales many many times. Can't be worse than that surely?
  6. Proof, if needed, that Morrisey Fan is a fruit loop
  7. Jason Bunyan and his family are happily settled in New Zealand. Why on earth would they want to return to this crap hole?
  8. I'm totally ruling it out. I also rule out spending my hard earned on a UK holiday. I want some sun on my back, not rain
  9. We're only 70 odd miles away, but that's a 300 mile round trip for both days plus admission for the missus and me. I ain't bleedin camping, that's for tramps. This for a meeting my team doesn't have a hope in hell of winning or even qualifying for the final. Doubtless my Berwick supporting missus will want to go. She'd turn up to the opening of a letter if she knew the Bandits would be there. Add to that one of us will have to stay sober for the drive home! You probably still live with mum & dad and don't have to find £500+ a month for the mortgage plus other living costs. If I had the choice of saving for 2 days of speedway, or putting it towards a week on a sun soaked foreign beach, the holiday wins every time. Many people live on the edge, just making do. Your assumption that everyone has spare cash to save is naive
  10. I've seen people have already booked hotel rooms at £100 a night. On top of £50 a head for admission that's an expensive weekend
  11. Must be a good reason why they haven't announced admission prices
  12. Sacrificed having a normal teenage life, not going out and having no mates? That's some sacrifice I'm not paying that. It was around £20 last year for one meeting
  13. Every fours meeting I've been to has dragged on for hours, especially at Peterborough. Don't think I'd fancy the prospect of 8-9 hours over the weekend, especially as my team won't be involved in the final.
  14. Just because it's different doesn't make it better Tents, camp. I thought you'd approve
  15. Not only that, they were playing as they announced the team changes. We couldn't hear the announcements standing on the first bend
  16. The hosts, with home track advantage, get a bye to the final..... Marvellous I s'pose the two day event covers them in case it rains on the Saturday. They can possibly run on Sunday without the individual
  17. If it's anything like last years live band forget it
  18. I'm a postman, not a civil engineer, but it looks like someone's come along with a bucket of tar and a roller
  19. They filled in the crater at the car park entrance today
  20. No different from Len Silver, he alienated many fans during his final few years at Rye
  21. Danyon Hume is the latest to jump ship, replaced by Sam Woods, hopefully with a bike fitted with stabilisers
  22. Dated December. Either he changed his mind, or The Brummies saw him practice and had a change of heart
