  1. The information came from his pit crew, so there's obviously been a change of heart
  2. Andrew Silver made a brief return in 2009 after a 12 year absence. May not have been a great success, but was hugely entertaining. Scored a maximum in one of his last meetings and held a mid 5 point average when injury cut short his season. He was in the Rockets side at Berwick when Lawson was riding for the Bandits
  3. Due to the 2014 sponsors not paying up as promised, but hey, why not blame the supporters club eh?
  4. You're very welcome pal. Always good to have some light hearted reading. I quite enjoy the tribal bickering between yourselves and your cousins to the east.
  5. Comparing footballers to speedway riders is like comparing fillet steak to economy burgers. Footballers are contracted for a period of time, often up to 4 or five years. They are paid the agreed amount however poorly they perform. Speedway riders are paid per point. I can only think of three riders in recent years who have deliberately underperformed for a whole season, unfortunately two of them were at my team.
  6. Glad it's not just me. Annoys the hell out of the missus
  7. Thought I hadn't seen him race for a while, but I do tend to get him confused with Kyle Newman for some reason!
  8. Can't see him returning to the UK in the foreseeable future
  9. On his Rye form, I don't think he's been there for 2 or 3 years, possibly injured.
  10. We've had crap teams for years. You're used to better... MUCH better!!
  11. Let's hope he's safer on the track than he is on the road
  12. Not surprised you'd want to talk about something else
  13. Wow! Amazing response from some Peterborough fans. From laughing stock at Rye House to hero at Peterborough. Raised his average and now some people want him dumped before the season starts!
  14. That could just be the damage done at the Pair of Aces post meeting party
  15. What's your definition of "proper banter?" They're sportsman, so they're fair game. Why should they be any different from footballers, cricketers, tennis players etc?
