  1. Chris Nearh, one of the best gaters of recent years, tried and failed. If he couldn't improve Kaspers gating then nobody can.
  2. Neutral speedway fans. Do such creatures exist?
  3. You'd be surprised how many riders are racing with one injury or another. They're a tough breed. Didn't Kenny Carter once attempt to race with both legs broken and in plaster?
  4. I'd get that bump on the head seen to. Looks like you have a mild concussion.
  5. If you used that argument for every rider in the league you may as well pack up and go home.
  6. That's the only reason Robert Lambert signed for Newcastle, so let's not go down that road
  7. Racing for most of the season with a shoulder injury
  8. There are two things in speedway that annoy me more than anything else. One is people cheering when a rider falls. I've almost come to blows a few times over that. The other is the "if you think you can do better, try it yourself" brigade. Nobody forces anyone to ride a speedway bike. Many of em wouldn't be racing at all without the likes of us paying through the gate to watch them "risk their lives".
  9. Question marks over who? Kasper was averaging over 7 points a meeting from reserve last season before he moved up. Ben will beat most number 7's around Rye House and a fair few number 6's. That's all he's expected to do.
  10. Nah, you're alright. You carry on That's good to hear. If only that could be replicated throughout the leagues
  11. Do people really go to speedway to marvel at the pleasant surroundings these days?
  12. Oh come on George, you can do better than that. What about all the Glasgow fans that appeared out of the woodwork last season?
  13. I thought Len Silvers PR was shocking, but this lot aren't any better. Nothing on social media at all since the end of the season directly from the club. The Rockets line up came via the local rag
  14. We're not dealing with speedway people here. It's my belief they had no idea what they were getting into when they bought the club. Slowly but surely the people that ran the place have either left or been dispensed with. I'm a natural pessimist at the best of times, but the goings on in the last few months have left me even more concerned as to where the club is going.
  15. I'm tending to side more with Cliff than the previous two posts. I think Rye fans were expecting a Glasgow type rejuvenation at Rye House, but there have been problems. There are still problems as I'm led to believe the planned building work has has to be put on hold due to planning issues. The proposed Robert Lambert signing went belly up with one of the best prospects we've had in years let go to our near rivals. What a mess!
  16. I wouldn't say Lykke/Morley was a weak reserve pairing
  17. I'm looking forward to seeing this transformation
  18. Compared to the rest of the Premier League I'd say they was throwing money at it. Can you tell me what these investments are? I've not really been into my speedway as usual recently with the new baby at home taking up loads of time.
  19. If you can't turn the tide now they're throwing money at it you never will
