Also, Jason is a rider who likes to keep busy. In Sweden he would have a minimum of 14 fixtures plus play-offs etc. Here he gets a minimum of 29 plus any guest appearences that might be in the offing. Getting back to NKI, here's a plan that could work. He drops out of the Danish league for the 29th June fixture as suggested and stays with the Stars throughout July. He can then re-join Ebsjerg from the 3rd August whereby King's Lynn can claim a 28 day facility covering them until the end of August. The regular season in Denmark is over by 24th August so if Ebsjerg fail to reach the play-offs (they are currently 3rd) he could come back to King's Lynn. However, if they do, it frees up other riders of clubs whose competition is over or the play-offs can be covered by Woffinden.

It is strange that the PZM should have taken this decision now. Ebsjerg have one more meeting in June(29th) and I am sure Tai Woffinden, with whom he shares the 'A' position, will be keen to take that fixture in preparation for the SON. Then, Denmark have a break in league fixtures until 3rd August. An option could be for NKI to withdraw from riding in Denmark for now and see what the situation is then.

Belle Vue v Ipswich Monday June 6th Live on TV
tocha replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I have no idea but Monday has become the accustomed night for them. Riding on 'off' nights have a detrimental affect on crowd numbers. Poole couldn't make it work switching from Wednesday and it finished Rye House. -

On the face of it quite straightforward. However, you then have to factor in Mondays when Belle Vue are riding or have ridden away, at least two at Wolverhampton possibly another one at Peterborough then two Pairs meetings. Looking at the Belle Vue fixture list there are only two free Mondays from now until mid September. -

He is though. Peterborough are at Wolves the same evening. -
Thank you. I hadn't seen that.

Rowe rode for Leicester on Wednesday scoring 9.
-
He missed Leicester's visit to Edinburgh last Friday through illness which means he is now serving a mandatory seven day suspension expiring tomorrow. However this does not prevent him from riding in an overseas league.
-
He withdrew through illness for Leicester's trip to Edinburgh last Friday so he now remains suspended for seven days until next Friday.

I suppose It is quite possible that Polish clubs are told that if they allow one of their riders to ride in more leagues than stipulated there is no RR facility should he get injured whilst riding in GB, Denmark or Sweden.
-
Yes, NKI rode for Indianerna on Tuesday and Esbjerg in Denmark yesterday. As far as I know he is still riding for Lodz in the Polish first division so I don't know how this will affect King's Lynn.

I suppose he could have dropped Denmark for the time being allowing Tai to take the 'A' position exclusively.

..and this is the problem. You may well be right but the rule as it is written requires explanation. I don't know if MC mean no team changes once the league campaign starts until 25% (ie., 30) fixtures have been completed or no changes at all until this milestone has been reached. Then what happens after that? Is there to be another transfer window once 75% matches have been ridden or can another change(s) be made at at anytime between 25% and 75%? Also, do the changes involve individual riders or wholesale re-declarations. More questions than answers right now. Edit: I don't know whether to read anything into this but new Greensheets for the Championship were published yesterday but nothing yet for the Premiership.
-
There has been since 2017. No team changes may be made after 28th August.
-
It is up to the MC to explain what they mean but this is what they have said: 'A Premiership Transfer Window opens after 25% of the League fixtures are complete and closes when 75% of League fixtures are complete. This permits changes to the team on 2 occasions, except for proven long term injury.'
-
Well that's how I read it. On a more general note it would be helpful to know why this rule has been introduced, for what purpose and why it is restricted to just the Premiership.
-
The rules just say this: 010.3 TEAM DECLARATIONS Teams must be declared prior to the start of the season. 012.2 A Premiership Transfer Window opens after 25% of the League fixtures are complete and closes when 75% of League fixtures are complete. This permits changes to the team on 2 occasions, except for proven long term injury. It doesn't say anything about being able to change the initial declaration prior to the league campaign.
-
Has this been cleared by the BSPA though. After the fiasco over Dan Bewley one wonders if Mark Lemon has checked the 2022 regulations or, maybe, they have just passed him by!
-
Correct.
-
Jake Allen's inclusion is not a change to their line-up as prior to this they had only six riders signed. Therefore, he is part of their initial declaration.

NKI is a 28 day injury replacement for Kildemand who remains in the initial decaration.
