I'd love to see Alex Davies back with us....Wow!
-
Your all forgetting Friday Night is or was our Race night for years. with exception of some weekend racing. ,Our crowds have been down and I imagine Mr Godfrey is trying his best to get it back to those Friday crowds again.
-
Thank you Rob. Chuffed to have Josh back. Not brilliant at gating but by god he makes up for it. He's given his all and is so exciting to watch. Our very own Entertainer! very pleased to see Jake Allen back too! YES!
-
My guess is; Josh Auty ( my fav) and Jake Allen
-
Come on Rob Give us some cryptic clues, or better still some proper named riders! haha!
-
I'd rather have TJ than Bates though Dan
-
I like the look of TJ, Neilsen and my favourite Auty, Then I'd like to see a rider like Magnus , who could come out and win practically all his races. I would like to think we'd keep young Josh. He's certainly improving! As to crowds. Unfortunately a lot of supporters were around in the days of Quibel Park. A lot of those are sadly no longer with us. As I was part of that crowd I miss loads of faces. We have to find a way of attracting the younger fans. A bus laid on to and from the stadium, only a suggestion. Could we not have a couple of races each week of the younger riders, that may appeal to some. not sure! A more expensive thought is a seated stand, under cover, unfortunately we always have a wind and it can be very cold , Actually I'm sat patiently waiting for Rob to throw out his usual cryptic clues regarding riders. Keeps it interesting at this part of the season. lol.

Had the Scunthorpe riders put the same effort into some of the past meetings. we may have lifted ourselves off the bottom half of of the league. They looked different in this meeting they rode with intention. I do believe we could have made up the 18pts Peterboro lead, however luck wasn't with us. Kerr with an easy looking win when the engine just died on him, that 5.1 ( another 4pts ) Ryan's rear-up at start and exclusion and then Josh in the lead having nowhere to go but into the fence. Wasn't to be, so good luck to Peterboro in next round. I must say how good it was back to Friday night racing!

HT always gives good fair comments on Scorpions meetings. Had Auty and MPT ridden as they usually do . the win could have been for Scorpions. However they obviously didn't like or couldn't get on with the dry dusty track! so no blame on them! That's why I like the night meetings....please night meetings next year Rob!

Watching a meeting like this one makes being a Scorpion fan very frustrated. We know only too well how these riders can and do ride better than tonight's effort. The EF's, falls, poor Tero taking so many rides. A real off night for him this week! `Oh to have a No1 like Ipswich has. Hope you Ipswich fans appreciate The brilliance of your No1 Danny King. If only we could have a real No 1? Please Rob for next year!

The way Scunny rode tonight they'd get beaten by NL teams. -
Well done Scorpions on the win yesterday. A shame about bad luck for MPT when his bike packed up when getting to the 2nd bend on the 1st lap in heat 1. and similar for Josh having passed opposition to suddenly come to a halt in a later heat. Some lost points there, otherwise the team rode well. Good to have you back Josh looking more like your old self. Hope these are signs of upping the tempo from here on! A nasty looking crash into the fence for our guest reserve who walked away from it. I hope he's not seriously injured and not too much damage to his bike. I hate losing at home so yesterday I come away happy! Thank you team!

There was I waiting to hear new names of riders. Aw well a hammering coming up for Scorps I think!
-
No Tungate please!. Riders get hurt in pure racing accidents but to have Tungate ride full pelt into a rider you love is unforgivable. I wont ever forget that. He should have been sacked!
-
I am going to jump in and defend Josh Auty. Having been a fan of Josh for a very long time. I can honestly say, most of the meetings at Scunthorpe Josh has provided the excitement, some of his overtaking moves are breath- taking. If anyone has the track sussed out it's Josh! however last week he just didn't appear to have it in his bike. ( I don't understand bikes) But Josh rest assured you haven't lost me as a fan. You'll come back I have no doubts! Good luck lad!

Despite feeling bitterly cold ( that wind was a shocker ) it was a good meeting with plenty of passing. Good to have Stefan back. he certainly was a crowd pleaser. shame about his bike problems, even so he scored double figures, MPT slotted into No 1 place with no problems. Well done Tofty! All in all It was a good team effort. Because of the wind we moved to a new viewing place, little did we realize until we got talking we were stood next to Stefs mum. A very nice lady. Nice to have met her ! Thanks Scorps. 3 nice points!

Ive just got over food poisoning. It took 5days. Knocked the stuffing out of me! Sorry for poor Ryan. Good luck Scorps! -
I have that team written down Dan. on present averages 01-09-16 I get it to 41.98
-
With Scunny's team averages so low ( I get them @39.40 ) how are we as a team going to get off the bottom of league. even Redcar and Ipswich are a couple of points higher and the rest of the league between 42.50 and 45. Between top and bottom is like another 6pt rider. There will be some that say It can be done and I realise that but every Scunny rider has to ride at their very best. However that can rarely happen because of bike problems, falls etc. The team needs strengthening!

I don't know if I'm right in thinking that whilst riders are racing for Scunthorpe they have unlimited hours practice on our track. So riders starting out with AM meetings, progressing to NL and onto PL gives them a massive start to their career. Yet as soon as they start to pull in points they are off!. Well done JOSH AUTY he's still with us. Always been one of my favourites!. I wish this lad to get on and into the GP's. He deserves it!.
