  1. Evening Mr.G I'm gunna join in, this is exciting, lol. This is my team; 1. Ulli Ostergaard, 2. Dave Howe, 3. Josh A, 4. MPT/Vik Bergstrom, 5. Douglas, 6. Ellis Perks, 7. Nike Lunna
  2. I hope not R.Hall, he's been there worn the T shirt and kicked our Josh when he was down injured!. please No!
  3. Iron scorpion...you nailed it with your reply, hopefully what you suggest can be addressed. Didn't Tai go around the schools? I seem to remember him doing so. Buses in Scunthorpe are useless after 6pm. My own service stops. What needs to be done is exactly what you propose but we could do with Hornsby's coming aboard have a few pick-up places. " Hornsby Speedway Bus" food for thought?
  4. Unfortunately bus services do not go near our track to get kids there and back from areas Like Ashby, Bottesford, Westcliffe. Messingham, Scotter etc. Not many family groups can afford it. Such a shame because Its the kids we need to entice as they are the future fans.
  5. I'd just like to say we the Scunny fans are privileged to watch brilliant meetings most weeks. Very rare to see a boring race. Its usually passing galore. Its a racers track and we sure do count ourselves lucky!
  6. Scorps New signing! Its official....On Scunny website and Scunny Telegraph ?
  7. Can't believe No TJ......I'm really upset about that!.......shocked!!!
  8. Nothing wrong with your team Lewis but could we have a shuffle. I'd love to see MPT back, sort of missed him this year
  9. I agree scunny 1.... Thomas is a MUST Have for next year.
  10. A competative meeting but not the best seen at the EWR. Our regular team riders gave it their all, by god the scoreline would have been different with Ryan and Klindt in, I think it could have been a convincing win. Dam the injuries, had to come when we needed a full team, but thats speedway! A massive well done to Ash, must admit my heart was in my mouth watching him race! hope his hand is OK. For the Rebels Allen and Morris didn't perform as I expected, Morris seemed hell bent on forcing riders into the bend. Anyway thats that one over. Good luck SCORPIONS for the return visit on Wed.
  11. I feel Ive got to comment here if only to say Well done Josh and David and hope Klindt is OK. he's struggled with an injury for weeks and when he withdrew the writing was on the wall. A team in the play-offs should have made mince meat of what was left of our side but you didn't. Beware when you come to Scunny! We can't get much weaker as a team. Injuries happen and its part of the sport. Scunny unlucky - last time in the play-offs we struggled with injuries BUT we won the league. Its not over yet!!! GO SCORPS!
  12. Good luck SCORPIONS.....Were missing 2 good riders but all is not lost....Come on Josh you've been here for the Scorps so many times we can do it. Stay safe all riders, do your best is all we ask. GOOOOOOO SCORPS!!!!
  13. What a brilliant meeting! The best seen at the EWR for a very long time, As Rob said it takes 4 riders to race thats exactly what happened. Despite the scoreline Berwick tried but caught the Scorps very hungry for that win tonight. Racing in almost all the heats was superb. passes and repasses we had the lot, A huge well done to both teams. Scorpions well ready for the play-offs!
  14. Well done SCORPIONS on gaining a point out of this match. A little luck and I think you could have come away with a draw or even a win! At this stage even the 1pt gladly recieved.
  15. Hating the Tactical double points rule as I do I feel for the Rye fans. Without that 8.1 T/R RYE would have won the much needed points. Wheres the sense a team at the top end of the league having dbl points in a race against a team near bottom of league. Why cant we go back to speedway as it used to be. Watching Swedish speedway on TV with the olod TR rule is much better!
  16. A brilliant meeting tonight. Both teams going for it. Passing and re-passing. Well done both teams for a thrilling match. Ref had to spoil it. what the hell was he playing about at in ht 11, crowd was really angry shouting at him. we were looking at each other wondering what happened as none of us could see any wrong doings and we were stood near the start line. Another 3 pts cracking result!
  17. Those that think 2 GPs in UK would be successful...think again!. Families....Mums, dads, children and grand parents go to Cardiff every year. Its like a mini holiday to them. Even the kids save their pocket / birthday money. Millenium Stadium is magic. they really do have the knack of turning the evening into something rather spectacular that appeals to all ages. You cannot achieve this atmosphere in an open stadium but most important I think if we did have 2 GPs I doubt the families would or could afford to turn out twice. We need to think carefully. speedway league racing is suffering with low crowds. Don't for gods sake kill off Cardiff. and it is more central than London.
  18. I agree too with the dec on Neilsen, had a good view for that one. The Compton move on Ryan looked like being a nasty accident, but I was too far away to comment . I defo think that Thomas should have been in heat 15 he deserved that race! How long since was it the done thing to share points out? Thought that was what racing was all about to a rider..... more points more money! grrrrrr!
  19. No you can't have Josh! he's one of the Scunny crowds favourite riders. He's too special to us, been part of every team piece of silver wear we've won! Paid Max last night. Hes back on it now! You guess right he's my fav rider.
  20. For saying we had some rain before the meeting the track was fine and the racing was good, no accidents! The Scunny boys were using all lines of the track but it appeared to be the outside line where most of the overtaking was done, to be fair there was quite a lot of passing. Newcastle attacked the track when wearing the black and white helmet which made our lads have to go in both races. Surprised with Simon Lambert. when he rode for us he used to always be charging round the outside I expected him to be better than he was.Well done to our lads though they did the damage early on in the meeting and kept it up!...special mention for Matt.. Another good meeting for you, way to go!!!
  21. Sorry to confuse you folks! When I posted it was with interest in the 4 riders with Scunny ties at N /L level. For years Ive watched youngsters throughout the winters in the practices and AM meetings. Having seen them take tumbles, low scores, high scores I still find it interesting to watch them progress. There are so many of them thats passed through Scunny. Yes it was Matt who I included in the 4 riders. Incidently he's becoming a decent P/L reserve now , had a very good meeting last week. The ref robbed him of some points though!..bad decission to exclude Matt.
  22. An interesting meeting for us Scunny fans who support our youngsters. Four of Scunny's ex N/L riders v our Newbie rookies. ...Well done Stags "You didn't get white washed and you got to race at another new track! "....I'm not being sarcastic as I was supporting all those 4 ex riders when they started off in league racing. Sad but if this is how it has to be done, so be it!
  23. I would say riders get more advantage from knowing the Scunny track. Sheffield riders and all the other teams riders can be seen practicing at Scunny. Us fans are forever saying our lads don't have much track advantage. however they do have more track time themselves riding for us. which is a bonus for them! Pointless making excuses. A rider is either down on confidence or having a spot of machine probs. It happens!
  24. Good win for the Scorpions, 3 riders between them only scoring 7pts. We just dont seem to get all our riders fireing on all cyls together. However 4 lovely league pts.
