  1. I'm not going to stuff you into the fence though!
  2. you're right there's nothing funny about not knowing who's come where in a competition until the captions come up after the event after it's all been worked out on a spread sheet... but that's another story! Good luck... we're all counting on you
  3. Calling @racers and royals All leave is cancelled! I want you early to bed this week and on a diet of oily fish and dark chocolate, laptop fully charged, phone on mute! Bartosz Zmarzlik can wrap up the World Championship this weekend and because of the comical scoring we're unlikely to find out from the commentators and not until a press release on the website long after it's been wrapped up. As Rachel Riley is otherwise engaged it's down to you R&R, this is your time... the BSF needs YOU!
  4. Wish Wrighty a speedy recovery for Redcar & Belle Vue sakes, but... This is why some foreign clubs stop their riders riding for other clubs when the pay offs or important matches come around
  5. I'll put my thinking cap on and try and come up with somebody equally obscure
  6. You've seen the sandwich platter he puts on at the end of a meeting then
  7. Can we just let this thread go please it's too painful for me to see it keep popping up at the top of the page!
  8. and with 9 free Saturday dates between the 2nd of September and the end of the season you have to question why they were staging double headers when they know they can never complete them!
  9. According to the fixture list on the Panthers website tomorrow is the last meeting
  10. A little over 24 hours to go until the last ever meeting at the EoES and looking on their website you'd never get the impression that there was anything wrong, business as usual
  11. Have Leicester ever successfully completed a double header?
  12. Just watched the BSN coverage from Thursday and every time they mentioned Peterborough's demise they kept prefixing it with the word "potentially". Buster says definitely everybody else says potentially... something dodgy going on
  13. Personally I don't mind a bit of language... but he's not on the sites, he's being beamed into people's living rooms with all ages watching. I'm assuming BSN have to work within Ofcom guidelines, I don't know
  14. Make the fixture a challenge and Plymouth forfeit the points. Team line ups like the ones Plymouth have sent on their northern tour does the credibility of the sport no good at all... you have to have some kind of minimum standard surely?
  15. Prepare for a Jubilee Trophy... sometime in mid November
  16. It's a view I suppose... he's seriously suggesting that driving a car is comparable to racing professional competitive motor sport. I can't believe a director of a Speedway club is advocating riders pumping themselves full of steroids/HGH in order to be competitive. Speedway is struggling enough to be taken seriously this would be the final straw for many I would suspect, the media would drop it in a heartbeat for starters. He says Speedway falls into line with sports like athletics or weightlifting, not quite true, it falls into line with almost all other professional sports. He's also suggesting that riders are required to walk in a straight line or something before a meeting to test whether they're "fit" to ride. I think he's had one dram too many before writing that post!
