Redcar v Workington, 12/ 4/2024 :- BSN Series.

When Cook gives me something positive to say about him, I'll be the first to comment, until that happens... Tate was pretty impressive in heat 1 until he binned it -

Cook looks like he's up for it... going home that is. Batch won't be far behind him -

They've not named the substance found, I thought they did in the past (Worrall) or was that only after the court hearing? -

The tickets... not the Premier Inn? -
He said he'd already decided on the new riding order before tonight

For me before the season started I always thought that Lawson & Masters were going to be suspect in the new higher quality league, Lawson has really surprised me with his performances and really has been Lions consistent light so far this season. Masters I'm still to be convinced by.
-
Yep, a full complement tonight. Lawson was not happy with the ref in heat 1, he thought it was first bend bunching, the gaffer said he's targeting Birmingham on Monday for a win with a new riding order, Fricke and Dougy at 1 and 2, Masters at 5 I think he said
-
Far too early for any changes! A much improved performance from Fricke and Dougy tonight, just beaten by the better team for me I think, I always thought Sheffield would have enough even after Lions mid meeting fight back

Tigers against pussycats at the moment

Worrying to see Joe throwing the towel in after 3 completed laps

Did Fricke get away without an exclusion there? Is Dave Watters the ref again?

What coat should I put on tonight?

I might be inclined to add King's Lynn to your list. We've got to be picking up bonus points if we want to do anything this year, I'm not sure taking 5 points to Lynn will be enough

Poole Pirates Vs Plymouth BSN Wed 10th 7:30pm
IainB replied to daz9100's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If you thought Plymouth were bad at Wimborne Road last year this could be even worse! -
Was it 15, it was some performance! I seem to remember that they bladed the track and there was a huge berm round the outside that Lol kept putting his back wheel in... good times indeed!

Leicester vs King’s Lynn - Thursday 21st March

So much for the new era of transparency in the Premiership! -
I couldn't disagree more, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the track last night, a bit heavy? Yes. The Belle Vue lads seemed to be revelling in it! Leicester were poor out of the start and then poor for the rest of the race, it's not the first time Leicester have fallen to pieces at the NSS and probably won't be the last! On what basis would you have abandoned/postponed the meeting before heat 1?
-
We all know that if you ask the riders for their opinions on a track on any given night you'll get 14 different opinions. Some leave their brains in the toolbox and will just go for it and others will, understandably, have concerns, especially if they've had big injuries in the past. On tricky tracks some will have career best performances, I remember Lol Hare going through the card at Cov many years ago scoring an 18 point maximum on a well dodgy track, I don't think he ever scored as well again!

Red Rory! Everybody Out!
-
I've not really followed his career before he joined Leicester, but he's a big boy now and should have eradicated this from his game. Poor matches for a rider of Max's calibre should be 9's, 10's & 11's... not the 4's, 6's & 7's he's been getting and these on tracks he should be more than familiar with by now. I know he'll come good, he's a quality rider, we can't afford to be getting 3/4 of a season out of him with our lack of top end power elsewhere in the team
-
Belle Vue is one of the safest tracks in the world, there wasn't a single fall last night and nobody really looked like they were getting into much trouble, yes visibilty was an issue and the track was pretty much shot by heat 14. If we're going to wait for perfect conditions, especially in Manchester, we may as well shut up shop now.
-
It's alright, Fricke will be at reserve soon and then watch us go!
-
1. Can you imagine him as your team captain getting in your head all night long!
-
1. I've seen him single handedly getting a meeting abandoned at Peterborough a few years back when there was absolutely nothing wrong with the track, and listening to him over the last few meetings I can see exactly why. 2. He needs a ladder to get on his bike
