  1. NSS getting on for 10 years old now... they should have sussed track prep by now
  2. Only because the meeting was held up for him... why not wait for Tungate/Doyle... stupid I know, but rules must be consistent
  3. The NSS is getting on for 10 years old... you'd think that they'd be able to prepare a track that wasn't so grippy in damp conditions by now When it's good it's the best, when it's bad it's quite processional
  4. What about when Bomber didn't make it in time for "start time" at Glasgow the other week? Due to being stuck in traffic?
  5. If Schlein's voice gets any higher it's going to shatter my TV!
  6. Emil burnt his on an exhaust a few weeks ago and are allegedly at the tailors for repair. JJ, not so sure.
  7. The thing is we live in an information media age, it's the easiest thing in the world to put out a statement explaining the circumstances and then there is no speculation (Unless it's Buster at King's Lynn that is )
  8. Almost as ludicrous as penalising a team for 1 night because a rider has not passed a drugs test
  9. The trouble is in this new era of transparency we have no idea what went on with Tungate, the SCB don't seem answerable to the media, public or fans
  10. Hasn't there been a similar case recently with a Scottish football team?
  11. No, but equally calling meetings off when there is nothing wrong with the weather can also cause damage in a way that isn't immediately obvious i.e. when punters are making their own minds up whether to attend a meeting weighing up the chances of whether it'll be on or not because clubs haven't been consistent with their decisions in the past
  12. ... to 4h 40mins leaving Stansted on a Monday at 13:00
  13. It wasn't though, if Doyley was due back in the UK at 12:30, that's cutting it all a bit fine... it's the fans that suffer as usual
  14. The same thing as Lidsey? Doyley has been a loyal servant to British Speedway, you're correct. It is disappointing though
  15. Charles Wright, who was out injured yesterday replaces Doyley... you couldn't make it up
  16. When the automated starts were not used at Leicester recently it was announced over the PA, not sure if it has been at other tracks. Surely the ref would only need to press 1 button, once, to switch the green lights on and initiate the automatic procedure. What I did see looking at the BSN coverage was the tapes going up as soon as the ref pressed the 2nd button, every time.
  17. All of this cancelling meetings shenanigans needs setting down in the rules in some way, there's far too much of it going on by many clubs in all leagues
  18. Just caught up with this... My first look at the new Worky and it is indeed very impressive and should only get better as a Speedway venue, track is a nice shape and actually seems to use a red shale, which is a rarity in Speedway these days. They'll need to get the dust situation sorted out if they're running during the day, sending punters home covered in dust is simply not acceptable to many people. It was good to see Craig Cook back to his very best, when his head is in the right place there will be few better than him in the CL. Celina showing a few of the men up with her very clear and loud dropping of the F-Bomb... would make a docker blush. Tai Woffinden watch out! Something I did notice was that the ref was starting the races, you could clearly see him through the patio door of the ref's box making exaggerated movements putting the green light on and then releasing the tapes, so much for the new automated system. I wonder if riders will stop looking at the magnets and start watching the ref?
  19. Meeting was not being staged in Chesterfield... treat yourself to a map book from the money you've saved yourself by not going tonight.
  20. Team/Cell Delete as applicable
