Leicester v Sheffield 26th August 6.30pm.

Left after Max James hit the air bags (hope he's OK) as I could see the rain coming in on the radar (even though the Leicester promotion seemingly couldn't, but don't get me started on that!) And I was absolutely astonished to find the gates locked as I wanted to leave... WHY? It certainly wasn't due to a capacity crowd (was pretty good though tbh, Saturday night speedway, who would have thunk it?)... but just what were the Leicester promotion hoping to gain from keeping people out of watching what was effectively a free match and maybe repeat business? I despair sometimes, i really do -

I see Dicko and the rest of the team have gone missing again after the meeting with only Max Fricke coming out to make the draw. Had half an hour to fill as well -

It's a sign of the times we live in I'm afraid... tonight, and I'm not making this up, we're being told over the PA, to keep to the left of the footpath on the way out of the stadium... because of the stinging nettles! When I was a kid you'd be pushed into them for making a request like that! -
Riding professional motorcycle racing for a team is not a bloody therapy session... if he can't cut it he'll be binned off like anybody else in life

I'm a mile and a half away, we had a moderate shower around 2ish, should have prepped the track a treat, drying up nicely now -

I think the truth of the matter is we're now a 5th place club with the loss of Morris's points ability at home, we may sneak into the pay offs but like you say unless those missing points are replaced we'll be straight out -

Can you imagine a Sheffield vs Leicester semi? -
Only all of the riders

They reiterated over the PA several times during Lions last home match that Tai would be there on Saturday... didn't mention Tobi though

So it's everybody else's fault? Smh

Sheffield do seem determined to use Connor Mountain instead of one of their big hitters at Leicester and allow both teams to qualify for the Pay Offs -
He does... Batch/Cook on the other hand...

Morris & Harris or Morris & Worrall, not much in it the common denominator is/was Morris. It's hard to imagine any other sport where Morris could just skulk off without releasing some kind of statement or be questioned by the press
-
Not as simple as that though... the choice was Worrall & Cook or Harris & Batch, neither are/were really working as well as Morris & Harris Especially around Leicester where both were good for 9 or 10 points a match. This gave a much better chance of winning ties over 2 legs, which is what the league is all about

Solid 2nd block of races for the Lions. Riders are out there for sure, it's a numbers game as usual though isn't it. Chris Holder, they've just said Laguta still wants a go, don't know if he got an average with Lynn? Wozniak? Berge, KK ()... any other keen youngster... look what Wojjy's done for Peterborough!
