  1. Nice avoidance there from Bailey, that could have been nasty if he hadn't have jumped over Perry's bike
  2. To be fair although there's a great disparity in ability, when riders of similar ability have met there's been some good on track tussles
  3. Didn't Sweden run 6 man teams (with no guesting) during Covid because they had to?
  4. I went for the Leicester match and it wasn't much better than last season... hoping to see better tonight
  5. I do hope not. Bugger Eurosport they had their chance and ran out at such a pace to cause its cancellation! If it's on the weekend at the NSS with no Eurosport coverage I will definitely be there!
  6. I wonder what tonight's fiasco will be? It is Birmingham don't forget... will it be medical cover? will it be tyres? will it be a dangerous track? fence panels? starting gate? lack of riders? electrical failure, burst water pipe...
  7. Just because it's been 7 man teams for as long as I can remember doesn't mean it always has to be that way. You alter the model to suit the circumstances, if there aren't enough riders to run a credible league you go to 6 or even 5 man teams... it ain't rocket science
  8. You could supply 100 tyres to each team at the beginning of the match, it wouldn't make any difference if the tyres aren't lasting a race... unless the sport introduces pit stops!
  9. Any news on his injuries last night?
  10. They looked new and unused to me... Yesterday you had me questioning what my ears had told me... today you have me questioning what my eyes tell me 2 questions: were you at the meeting yesterday and did you see the pile of tyres at the NSS?
  11. I saw hundreds of them stock piled in the open air at the NSS back on Easter Monday, all exposed to the elements (in Manchester!). Some of them were in a right state
  12. Taken from the Peterborough website this morning: "There was a sufficient number of tyres at the venue in order to run the meeting; however, with the failures taking place with alarming frequency, it was not safe to run the final five races of the meeting, and there was full agreement over this point." This is how I understood the announcement made over the PA
  13. 3 lap races next year until the stock of tyres have been used up
  14. Bet there's more chance of it going the same way as the last scheduled televised meeting at the showground!
  15. A certain Mr Dan Bewley has now become available again... i wonder if with the Aces injury problems and in the best interests of the sport he could make a Woffinden style play off return?
