Nice to see the Leicester promotion filling the wait with... erm... nothing, how about an interview with a rider or two... a sing-a-long? Why are we waiting...
Bit of an over reaction there I think. The only thing your team did wrong was not securing top spot in the league by 1 point. If you had, you'd have probably faced Sheffield in the Semi and gone on to meet and beat BV in the final... as I do think that BV will now win the final.
I think they do an excellent job, easily the best by some distance. For people that criticise them, try and talk continuously for 3 hours about what's going on in front of you that isn't always the most entertaining, in fact put an audition tape together and upload it to YouTube and give us all a laugh. It's a difficult balance to strike of being informative and entertaining. If I did have a criticism it would be that they don't often go into enough detail, but then maybe they are told to keep it quite superficial, I don't know.
The days of Richie Benaud saying 1 sentence once every over in cricket or Dan Mascal saying "Oh I say" at the end of a rally in Tennis are of the distant past.
It's puzzling why in both of the leagues play off's they've abandoned the use of tac-subs? This has basically killed off any interest in any of the play offs so far with the possible exception of the Peterborough vs Wolverhampton 2nd leg.
BV v Sheff, Lions v Scunny and Edinburgh v Redcar are all effectively dead rubbers unless something remarkable happens. Why run a year long league competition with the use of tac-subs that gets your team in a position in the league to then ride in play-offs that don't allow the very rule that has helped you get there!!! Another piece of British Speedway madness
Lucky he was well yesterday evening but knows he's not going to be well tomorrow night... all the best to him though, hope he recovers quickly for the semis
