  1. I can appreciate all you say, all I'm saying is I think he was a bit quick in throwing the bike away, it wasn't as if he was near the fence, didn't even try to regain control of the bike, just threw it at the nearest rider
  2. I don't know if you noticed but it did end up in carnage. If he'd held on to it a bit longer and tried to lay it down it may have been avoided. He decided to just throw his bike at Bellago instead though
  3. After the news regarding the NFL Washington R words and Rugby Union C words "having" to drop their club emblems, should Speedway take a look at itself? Ipswich W words Poole P words Somerset R words Birmingham B words Berwick B words Edinburgh M words Kent K words & R words Armadale D words Isle of Wight W words Plymouth G words
  4. Very disappointed in Sam last night, I think he nailed the pronunciation of Woryna every single time I thought the Russian was a bit quick to let go of the bike. Well done Robert Lambert, European Champion
  5. You've also got to factor in the weather... and quarantine... and the airline going bust... and dangerous tracks... and electrical fires Good luck!
  6. I wouldn't bank on it... he's often on here asking what's going on
  7. Maybe time to rename the League to "Elite League"... oh hang on a minute, they already tried that
  8. In the UK the team changes tend to be dictated by team points limits and transfer deadlines not necessarily a riders performance, hence 2 average riders performing quite well could be dumped for a "heat leader" and a 2 point reserve to make up the numbers
  9. Yes, he really wanted it that night, it was the only place to be on the track though at that stage with Cookie hugging the line to hand Kingy the title
  10. Obviously none of us know what the BSPA have or haven't done or how hard they have tried to get Speedway on this season but we can see by their actions that they have left the riders high and dry with no contingency plan. Once the league programme was cancelled an intention to run a meaningful series of individual meetings for British riders should have been announced, a far more flexible solution than a whole league programme.
  11. I don't know that I've ever seen Dudek make a genuine pass on anybody, he seems to have a nice style, maybe doesn't move around on the bike enough. Danny King is another rider who has a nice style but never seems to pass anybody
  12. Do you really expect BLM supporters to turn up at "White City"
  13. I wouldn't hold F1 up as an example of how to "take a knee" it's been a complete shambles for them. Football has had "the benefit" of "taking a knee" behind closed doors and the TV companies turn the sound down while they do it, it'll be interesting to hear the crowd reaction if they ever open the terraces up again, most crowds can't keep quite for a minutes silence for respect when somebody has died... hence the modern day 1 minutes applause. Personally I can't be doing with these grand gestures of taking a knee to demand equality and then driving down to the bank in their Ferrari's to deposit their £250,000 a week wages.
  14. I think if you're running a sport to the paying public then yes the public do deserve an explanation
  15. Perhaps they should, Rybnik wouldn't be the whipping boys everywhere they go and we might get to see some closer matches I love an hour's sun delay at Leicester I don't know what the drainage is like at Leszno but I have only seen one track where that meeting would have had a chance of going ahead and that was Odsal What else would they put on?
  16. Only if you pronounce it 5 different ways in the same race ... And we wouldn't whinge... We'd laugh
  17. "The colors of Wrocław are a holy thing, let Woryna the rag remember about it" It's all double Dutch to me... Surely they mean Veroni
  18. Couldn't watch it in Polish personally, the TV format doesn't bother me really as I watch it on delay and FF all of the dead air and adverts. I agree with the sound though it does seem to be turned down. I think it was Flagrag that mentioned that he'd seen the bandwidth that was being used and questioned whether it was being transmitted in HD and although the picture looks fine to me I do notice that the sound seems to be in a particularly low bandwidth, to my ear at least, as I can hear a lot of background distortion and I've got quite a powerful 5.1 setup and it's really noticeable
  19. Blummin eck! Is that all? I though it was something that had happened a while ago, they should have been having a go at the ref... "The Referee's a Woryna"
  20. While I'll watch Speedway on the telly all day long, no matter how good it is... I've got to say from what I've seen of this Polish league it's pretty cr@p. I've sussed it out and unless it's Leszno riding away or Rybnik riding at home the match is going to be an easy comfortable home victory. Great for the promoters as most fans attending want to see their team win but a bit of a borefest for the neutral watching on TV. Obviously there's a sprinkling of good racing in most matches but for the most part the result is a forgone conclusion after the first 4 races. It's surprising really as most tracks seem to be the same size, shape and surface.
  21. "Veroni" seemed to be getting some stick from the Wroclaw fans, not sure why that is?
  22. ... Or even a similar series run along the lines of a Southern, Midland & Northern Riders Championships with the top 5 from each series going on to a British Final? Something... Anything. Should be relatively easy to organise. I'm surprised the BSPA didn't have a contingency plan really, the message seems to have been we've cancelled the leagues... you can all do what you want.
  23. Holding it over multiple tracks and rounds weeds out the home track specialist winner also
