  1. I would assume that the booking fee goes to the system operator as I would think that this has been subbed out as a number of clubs are using the same system. Some have chosen to show the booking fee some haven't
  2. An online booking system should all be done automatically, and would run with minimal user intervention once setup with the fixtures, which I suggest wouldn't take more than 1 hour. I just find it strange that some clubs should be encouraging the use of the booking system yet choose to add the surcharge to that instead of the pay at the door punters that actually are using up the time of actual people (probably unpaid volunteers)
  3. I refer to the booking fee swindle, we've all experienced it with Ryanair and/or Ticketmaster and it now seems that some British Speedway clubs have come to the party. I have booked tickets at a few venues so far this season and again there seems to be no uniformity. Scunthorpe: £17 at the door £17.51 with online booking fee Belle Vue: £20 at the door £20 no online booking fee Peterborough: £20 at the door £20 no online booking fee Leicester: Before new booking system £17 at the door £17.50 with online booking fee Leicester: After new booking system: £17 at the door £18 with online booking fee, tickets being released a match at a time, meaning £1 extra for every match using the online booking system. You pays your money and you takes your choice I suppose but Leicester's "choice" to release one fixture at a time does seem to be taking the p155 a little
  4. I'm a mile and a half away, there's been some very light drizzle, it's drying as soon as it hits the ground though
  5. I think you'll find that if you turn the TV/Radio off you'll find that the world is not such a bad place after all.
  6. Thanks, I've been on to PS about this and they came back to me blaming my equipment, I knew it wasn't, good to have confirmation though. Thanks for replying, I'll get onto them again, telling them I'm not the only one having issues
  7. I'm experiencing the same choppy picture and sound with the Swedish Speedway on PS now! Is anybody else? Or am I the only fool on here that actually subscribes to PS?
  8. Still unable to buy tickets for a week on Sunday...
  9. The trouble is there are now only 25 team places available to him, 20 if he burnt his bridges with Peterborough
  10. I wouldn't worry about it too much as there are no gays in Speedway... much like Football. I don't think there are any gays at all in motorsport is there? There's only 1 in Rugby.
  11. See you next week I've given up taking new people along, the opportunity for something like this to happen is too great. It's exhausting enough trying to explain to new punters what's going on under normal circumstances without having an hour to "fill" They should be charged with bringing the sport into disrepute... but this seems to be something reserved for the riders I had a particular bee in my bonnet about this very subject a couple of years back and started a thread on it on here (which you may find an entertaining read) this was after a couple of incidents within a couple of weeks at KL & Peterborough (from memory). I have never been back to KL since and won't again until it's their policy to have at least 2 ambulances present on site. Not really a laughing matter
  12. For me this season Bewley looks like a man on a bike where in the past he's looked like a boy on a bike. Whether that's natural growth, the result of a training programme or my imagination I don't know.
  13. Was anybody else experiencing the same issues as me with the PS coverage?
  14. But you're not getting the choice of which match/standard of rider you want to watch... which is the point. The only choice is take it or leave it and on this occasion I will leave it. I hope you enjoy it though
  15. Something to do with bike covers being in the club livery... Then for almost every other rider to not adhere to those terms
  16. Was just watching what was going on in the pits after last nights match while I was waiting for the traffic to clear (crowd was surely more than 1,000!!) and there were a lot of "known" faces have a long look at and discussion about one of the rear tyres. I wonder if it'll become a story?
  17. Never say never but Buster has binned Cookie before he even raced for Peterborough a year or so ago and after 1 match for KL
  18. Will you be streaming it live for the rest of us to watch so we don't have to pay to watch it?
  19. It's great to be back at the tracks, I've been to 3 now with very different procedures: Scunny: QR contact tracing code seemingly optional, was attached to the fence at the entrance, I was the only one I saw checking in with the app Belle Vue: Contact details compulsory, either using the QR code and the app or contact details taken down using pen and paper Peterborough: No QR code to be seen anywhere, no contact details taken... and the crowd "seemingly" more than 1000
  20. I'll wait until I hear the other side of the story
