We all make mistakes and as long as we learn from them that's good, to say huge commentary gaffe is just as ridiculous, I only pointed out your typo to illustrate how easy it is to make a mistake, nobody died, it's probably an indication of the interest in the speedway that was on offer that there's all this hysteria of a small gaffe. He made a mistake and acknowledged it, he'll make more mistakes as will we all, for people to suggest he should lose his job over it is just sick (and not good sick)

I can agree with that, but it must be difficult when there's nothing worth speaking about happening on track. Some time I do wish NP & KT would talk a little more in depth about the sport during the duller moments, talking about the machinery and engine tuners a little more... The shouting I can deal with when it is genuine excitement There I've done some criticism and offered an alternative

Also you misspelled "tho" it should be "though" or if you are going to abbreviate it use an apostrophe... I suggest you are sacked or at least banned from the forum!

The thing is most of us are very replaceable, Speedway commentators less so. Anyway what's the beef? He didn't swear, I'm sure he didn't deliberately try and mislead people, just got the score wrong, something I did myself the other night at Leicester, I think you should be a little more tolerant of people, he's not a machine I was toying with the idea of going to BV on Tuesday, I will not bother after last nights borefest... if it had been SWC, I would have gone. They've obviously got to see this years competition out now but it'll be interesting to see how they go forward

There's no reason why they can't return to a SWC style event, held in a similar format to that of the 4's at Peterborough, maybe qualifiers on 1 day and a final on the next, all done and dusted in a weekend! The trouble with Pairs racing is it only works if the competing pairs are of a similar standard, it's no good having Hancock 30 yards ahead of the pair behind and then Gino 30 yards behind them, where's the entertainment in that? Or Sweden 30 yards in front of the Fins... Riders will only "team ride" if they need to. At least with 4 individual riders in a race there's more scope for competitive action than with 2 "teams"

Well that was rubbish, even worse than the Eurosport pairs thing, and that's poor! Nowhere near as good as the swc was imo And I can't understand what all the sniping at the commentators is about? I think they do a fine job trying to inject some entertainment and excitement where there is none. All you moaners should try and keep talking positively for 3 hours...

You obviously don't like tractors! I thought the mike man at Peterborough was one of the better ones, whenever I go he seems to do lots of rider interviews between races, something sadly lacking at so many other tracks

It's also something that petrol stations do, they don't make the money on petrol as the margins are so small, but drinks and eats, Costa & Subway brings in the money

That's what I thought... but my local Vue in Leicester is not on that list but are still doing the £4.99

Not really Speedway related but I feel there is a comparison to be made... As the years have gone by I found myself paying more and more to go to the cinema and up until recently I was paying up to £14 for a visit to the cinema and due to this my visits to the cinema have become less and less over the years, I probably only go 2 or 3 times a year these days. Vue have now slashed their prices to £4.99 for any film at any time! This makes going to the cinema a hell of a lot more attractive and I'll certainly be going a lot more to see films that I'd usually wait to watch on DVD, I'm already going to see Deadpool 2 next week and I would never have dreamt going to see that at £14, same for the new Jurassic Park. There a parallels to be drawn here, Speedway and Cinema both in the entertainment industry, both had prices only going one way... one assumes Vue have done this to attract more people and for me this has worked.

Come on... he's been doing it for years! He may have improved his average but he's always liable to touch the tapes at a crucial time, like on Monday night but on that occasion he got away with it because Riss fell in the first re-run. The team has 3 reserves at the moment and for me you'd have to lose the one that consistently throws potential points away, he HAS to cure his tape jumping or he'll never make it in the game

We must not forget it was the Hemsley regime that brought the sport back to the city and for that he/they must be applauded. I'm all for having a track that produces a home track advantage with a trick bend like at Cradley or Swindon where by the home riders can master the best line around it, but at Leicester more often than not it's whoever makes the gate (home or away) wins the race and that shouldn't be Speedway IMO. Do I shut up about it and stop going? Or shut about it and keep going? It's a question a lot of people have seemingly asked themselves and the answer can be seen on the terraces. Do you travel to away tracks at all Liontamer? Can you honestly say there is a worse track for racing? I don't know what the answer is but I don't think it's shut up about it, you're probably right in saying that I should stop going, but what if we all did that? A lot of people have! If I thought I was in the minority and the terraces were heaving and everybody was raving about what a great nights racing had been witnessed I'd obviously have to question myself. I just want the best for Speedway in general and Leicester Speedway in particular

I was seriously asking myself the question of why do I keep going last night. I barely attended a handful of matches last year, but this year British Speedway as a whole seems to be starting to get its act together regarding rider availability due to doubling up, whether it's the correct FRN's or not is a different debate for a different thread. I'm trying to renew my enthusiasm for the sport after a difficult winter for me personally and have been to quite a few meetings so far this season (Leicester, BV, KL, Somerset, Sheffield, Peterborough). Leicester had been without Speedway for too long 1984-2011 and it pains me to see what a disaster of a track they have returned to the sport with, they could have built anything and they came up with that and then there has been a stead fast refusal to do anything about it, it's by some distance the worse track I have ever seen. Add to this the dust and delays due to the sun, which thankfully haven't occurred yet this year and it's easy to see why crowds have dropped off alarmingly. I can even put up with a crap team, Leicester have always had a crap team, this year seemed to promise something different, but seems to be heading the same way as every other, I can put up with a crap team if I can see some genuine unpredictable action, the only thing unpredictable at Leicester is who is going to make the start because more often than not the order coming out of the 2nd turn is the final result. If it pleases you to think I'm Robert72 (whoever he his) then you go with that... As a genuine matter of interest I'd be curious to know what keeps you going every week (assuming you go every week) as I'm asking myself that question
