Bewley has also been spouting conspiracy theories on TwitterX. I suspect the crap in those cans he keeps pushing will do him more harm than a glass of cows milk ππ₯... I wonder if he'll be sporting a tin foil crash helmet next year?

Wolves Speedway potential new stadium???
IainB replied to Pauldoveyspeedway's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm only really commenting from what I see on socials... and all of the 3 I mentioned have quite regular updates, with news on council meetings, petitions to sign etc. and I don't even follow the Swindon and Arena campaigns and they still find their way to my attention, you can add Peterborough to that list as well (and Rye House)... Wolves on the other hand, nothing, there doesn't seem to be any "champion" co-ordinating things, not from an outsider looking in. -
Sounds like something that rhymes with punt π

Wolves Speedway potential new stadium???
IainB replied to Pauldoveyspeedway's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Some kind of update would be nice though for the suffering fans who will be expected to attend if and when it ever did come back. They're certainly not doing things the Coventry way, or even the Arena Essex way or more lately Swindon. The silence from the Wolves is deafening... as it was pretty much from day one. -
That's fair enough, apology accepted and appreciated π We can go at it again in Spring 2025 when Mr Klindt struggles with the cold again lol. Looks a solid Stars team and hopefully better times ahead β All the best and Merry Christmas to you too π

Says the guy that threw playground insults at me and then disappeared off in a sulk for the next few months. While you were away you may have missed Kurtz riding in the GP qualifiers while electing to give the team he was captain of matches a miss. ππΏ

Will he be having another farewell meeting? -
A pity there's no similar update regarding Wolves πΊ

International Test Matches
IainB replied to Bavarian's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I disagree... whenever I've seen GB/England ride it has always been very well attended SWC/SoN, test matches seem to have ceased since the inception of these competitions. As for individuals when they're run and promoted correctly (PCMT) it's almost a sell out at the NSS. As the BSPL have washed their hands of the national team it seems to be left to the company running Team GB Speedway to stage test matches which they apparently have no appetite for. So we have the situation where we are current World Champions and are not using that for the promotion and betterment of the sport at all. -

That's a fair summation... it's very much a gamble, a bit like Worky signing Batch last season, fortunately that paid off for them.

For guaranteed points?

That's the fella... they seem to have missed out on a trick there if he ain't in their team.

Apparently not π

Have I missed all the signings?

They do have 6 spots to fill

Aces going to finally get PHB over this year?
-
As a matter of interest... what leads you to think this?
-
Because, since the return of the "stars" it's been proven that you need 2 decent heat leaders that can get you a result in 13, 15 and any super heat, Leicester didn't have this last season when it counted and we've gone down the same path again for next season. With the line up it's looking like they're going to field next season, it looks to be more of the same only without the granted 7-9 points from Lawson, which means that everybody has to be always on their game, which sadly (for us) wasn't the case in the final (or semi for that matter)
-
I'm not sure why you'd put together a weaker team than the one that failed so badly in the pay off final and only really got into the pay offs because of injuries to other teams and Oxford giving up.

Sounds like he's been on the Tennents π»

A lot of people will point to this as they did last season when we signed him... only to have to draft in guests when he inevitably went missing. Why we'd be wanting to bring in other teams cast offs when he inevitably goes missing again this season is anybody's guess π€·ββοΈ
