Your Team An What You Expect In 2017....
phillwhitewasmad replied to Midget's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
From a scunthorpe point of view I expect them to entertain me on a weekly basis. Can't see them losing to many at home but do see lots of closely fought meetings which could go either way happiness is 46/44. -
That's good news then for the future any info on them yet i.e. Are parts interchangeable can the 250 be converted to a 500 by changing the top end.
-
Just a thought but are they doing a 250 engine. Would seem strange that any youngster coming through would have to go down the jawa route then change to the gerhard, surely the powers that be need to look at those coming through as well as those already riding.
-
Wilko has been at a similar average now for a few year don't see him improving on it but can't see a massive reduction either. Seems to be mr dependable in the middle order can see him riding at two so if he maintains his average throughout the season it will be job done
-
I would say mid table mate a lot will depend on Wallner at reserve
-
So with the team named and only mid November how do we keep this thread alive.

Am I right in thinking mimmo that Luke Harrison achieved a 5.1 average for the season across all meetings -
Berwick 2017 50th Year
phillwhitewasmad replied to balderdash&piffle's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Wrongly then -
Not many people including wilko in the team for next year if it's a choice rather him than Alex as thought he was a stronger option in all positions
-
Isn't Wallner a five
-
Think lunna is nailed on Glasgow bought him last year so wo would be mad not to include him for this year at least
-
Nike is a Glasgow asset sold him last year , I'm with you lil josh is a must and either wilko lanham or fritz and Nielsen would be good balance can't see wilko and fritz in the same team in my opinion
-
Really would like to see a proper number one next year someone who will not drop down if the others have a good month. Also not convinced we could have wilko and fritz in the same team for a season think they may be to similar in there scoring patterns which could leave us vulnerable at the EWR and to keep crowd levels up and get the locals coming out in force think we need to win at home regularly. Just my opinion

Heard today Ben barker is a nailed on certainty for next year

Workington V Redcar 1/10/16 (pl) 19:00 Hrs
phillwhitewasmad replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Remember as well it's the njl championship after the meeting with 8 stars of the future stay on and watch and encourage them -
For me must have a proper number one the last few seasons where we build so we always have a strong reserve hasn't worked as league position shows although still been entertaining. The number one must have an average that can't be overtaken by josh after a couple of bad meetings-josh is a number 5 and very good in that position 1 r worrall 2 fritz 3 Lewis 4 mpg 5 Auty 6 7 Bailey or smith This is in no particular order and would love to see Ryan back but think it maybe time for a new challenge for him also think this team would leave enough under the limit to put fritz at reserve and another 6 pointer in the main body
