  1. Level 3 in Poland announced today just after final team was accepted so expect ours now we know where riders will be on Sundays
  2. Being the parent of a rider we have no sense of entitlement as a family we have worked hard to get the boy to the level he at .
  3. Strange isnt it that everyone says riders should have a job as speedway isnt a full time profession , then proceed to moan when a rider fits in racing around the job.😏
  4. To add to this the club runs to a budget and pays on time every time . I do understand though to most posters on here that a club that provides great racing in a cost effective manner owing no riders money is in anyway a positive
  5. To cut out all speculation Luke was offered £15 a point to ride at two clubs as this is the standard rate for heat leaders and he would of been number 1 at both clubs. He has made the decision not to race in the Ndl this season not because of the money
  6. there no discussion on quitting mate its just the anomaly of losing to much money when riding and not riding enough to progress
  7. He has signed a warsaw contract which in reality is not a guarantee of a spot just allows a rider to practice and hopefully get picked to race this involves no payment at all unless racing
  8. No not at all but if a rider on a 10 point average is losing money riding and a days wage on top of it then it becomes massively unviable can you imagine the losses a 3 pointer is incurring
  9. Currently no decision is made on Luke doing the league, my personal feeling is he shouldn't do it as with the current pay scales even scoring 15 every meeting means you run at a loss and even more so when you factor in the loss of a days working wage for us both as well. But on the flip side of that with only a championship spot and the limited amount of racing that it will provide he may have to do it for bike time and to justify the huge outlay on equipment during the winter. From doing 70 plus meetings last year to probably less 35 this year is there any wonder why young riders give up.
  10. Hannah is a decent rider would hold her own in the national league. Ask Ben trigger he followed her around a lot 😂
  11. He also said we had a chance of winning the league
  12. Luke was the quickest scorpion all night clocking 2 fastest times .
  13. No need for speculation if Scunthorpe want Luke back next season he will be there agree though that at some point he will have to go elsewhere
  14. I can confirm that we don't use new tyres for national league. There is no point there are plenty of decent used ones available. Recently had two paid maximums on tyres that had done two heats on each edge before starting the meetings. Personally don't see the benefit from a cost point of view to the rider a heat leader on £15 a point has his first 4.5 points wiped out buying it it's ok if someone is providing them but still think it makes much difference to the lads based on the tracks they are given kings lyNn has been the exception so far this year as it's been fantastically prepared
  15. from an insiders view i can say none of the young riders or there families expect anything to instantly appear on a plate. most like us have done 1000s of miles from when the boys were young to get them to meeting whether that be mdl njl British youth or amateur meetings. Personally i have my own thoughts on why the boys don't progress as quickly as European riders or aussies and its nothing to do with commitment or expectation
  16. Well that's definitely an untruth about Luke . Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story
  17. Luke's task this year is to up his average away from home and as long as he ends the year a better rider than he started we are happy. Boy rode well today whilst still feeling the affects of Wednesdays crash. Sorry he's not getting 15 every meeting to keep the keyboard hero's happy but never mind it's only speedway
  18. No even if as alleged Batch wasn't trying 13 others were and for me that's where the focus should be. I don't need anyone to speak for me especially someone as negative as you are. Was a decent nights racing with some good heats and for me the score doses not reflect the meeting. Always thought Scunthorpe would be the winners as we are strong at home
  19. Bit sad the discussion has turned into slating one rider rather than praising the others who gave it a go big home win 2 maximum's and some decent racing . But the focus is on the negative
