Outrup have been hit hard by Antonio Lindback's injury for Friday's televised meeting and have rejuggled their team. REGION VARDE (OUTRUP) 1 Mads Korneliussen 2 Nicklas Porsing 3 Krystian Pieszczek 4 Max Fricke 5 Oliver Bertnzon FJELSTED 1 Jason Doyle 2 Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen 3 Claus Vissing 4 Anders Thomsen 5 Ulrich Ostergaard Hopefully they can do a Darcy Ward and end up racing. It's being reported yesterday that the three riders involved in Friday's crash seem set to be ready to race. "Rene Bach, Thomas Jorgensen and Patrick Lykke Nielsen all came out after the crash. However, they are all included in the squad for the match away against Slangerup, and thus team leader Ib Pedersen put up with the squad, he had in mind. It seems that everyone is ready to go on Wednesday. Thomas Jørgensen has been put shoulder in place. Rene Bach was bruised, but there is not anything that is broken, and he is being treated by a physiotherapist in the coming days. Patrick Lyke also seems to be clear, but we keep an eye on them the next few days and we have replacements ready, if need be, says Ib Pedersen, which gives the debut of Patrick Lykke Nielsen." Would be great if we could get some clarification on all this triple name business that goes on. Last season riders were registered under different versions of their names with different national leagues. Websites, sports news organizations and speedway publications would often end up referring to two different versions of a rider's name on a single page or within the site. Best of all one rider had two different references on his own official website! Clearly there are some common surnames in Denmark but it's not as there are lots of same names going around. Or is it Danish culture to refer to oneself with two forenames? It's not always clear if the second name is a forename or surname. Oh well so long as they keep on turning out wonderful speedway riders they can all call themselves 'Ole Smith' and i'll be happy.

Swedish Elitserien 2014, Round 1
manchesterpaul replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Weather reports are not all uniform in their forecasts as to the amount of rain, but just in case it goes ahead and there are no further team changes or reshuffles i've put the racecard online now. I've got to go out for a few hours and anyone printing off from work etc on the continental mainland are one hour ahead so i might not be back in time for that. As ever any late changes i hear of will be applied. TV meeting racecard AVAILABLE NOW FREE MiniMax Racecard Elitserien Dackarna vs. Indianerna Tuesday, 6th, May, 2014 Awwww! do hope the first Eurosport broadcast of the Elitserien isn't blighted by rain-affected processional 'racing'. Might be best if it's called off! I don't know what reputation the Dackarna track staff have or how the track itself handles rain? -
Swedish Elitserien 2014, Round 1
manchesterpaul replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
According to his Twitter account around ten hours ago when asked if he would still be riding in Sweden today he reckoned that "I'm ok people. Just really sore. Got a stack of ice packs and will be good to go." Then again injuries are often worse the next day so we shall see. -

Cameron Woodward undertaking a 15 hour car ride to replace Lindback.....is there a rule against being asleep on a speedway bike during a race! -
Hopefully Jonny's boys will muscle their way in This taken from Speedwaynyheter: "Negotiations on television agreement with SVEMO has stalled announces ESS Monday. ESS has submitted a bid to SVEMO how Elitserien clubs would be willing to see out the last three years, but the union has chosen not to respond to the request. - Svemo has not responded to the offer, which we perceive as a rejection of the proposal says Lars Berlin, Chairman of the ESS in a pressmeddalden. As the Elitserien clubs not received a reply to its bid will highlight the situation with measures against television coverage of the Elitserien Arenas. - We will be sending down a team and according to our indications should not be any problem to broadcast the match, says Jonny Soderstrom on C More's press service. What happens if you do not get admitted? - Then it's a breach of contract. And it's SVEMO contract terms with? - Yes, like it's Svemo." He probably knows more about it than those who do!

Swedish Elitserien 2014, Round 1

So looking forward to watching this Swedish season in HD on Eurosport, although must give a rightful thank you to Premier Sports for the years they gave us Only thing missing from Swedish meetings are what would surely be beautiful start line girls. Gee if it's a case of being deemed sexist then have four blokes prancing around on alternate heats and us men can divert our eyes lol. I wonder if MotoGP and F1 or any other motorsports have their girls available when staging meetings in Sweden? Ghostwalker i know you said the heat formats stay the same but do you know if the gate positions are also as before? Horrible news about the weather being iffy. -
Danish Speedway 2014
manchesterpaul replied to Jacqueline's topic in International World of Speedway
LOL Ooops guess that one of my most impressive brain stalled moments. Even with my memory i can't believe i forgot about that thread, it was scrolled out of sight at the time with having several windows open but i should have remembered it. -
OK it's just gone midnight and i'm off out for the night and this is my last chance to check the line-ups. The only new news on whether Darcy Ward will ride tomorrow has been Sportowefakty stating at 9pm that there are conflicting reports on will he, won't he! Therefore i've listed him as per declared line-ups and if he doesn't ride and it's a straightforward R/R then no biggie, bit annoying if they shuffle their riding order mind lol. No bad weather reports for the televised matches so we should be in for some good racing. FREE AVAILABLE as of NOW! Direct download from the page, Sunday, 4th, May, 2014. Local Time 4:30pm, BST 3:30pm, UTC/GMT 2:30pm MiniMax Racecard Polish Extraliga Tarnow vs. Gorzow Sunday, 4th, May, 2014. Danish Speedway 2014
manchesterpaul replied to Jacqueline's topic in International World of Speedway
Awww surprised there doesn't seem to be much interest in the first Danske Liga match of the season the other day. I think Danish speedway is one of the best we get to see with it's seemingly endless conveyor belt of new talent. A good crowd of over 3,000 witnessed the initial meeting of the new league season Grindsted 48 1 Michael Jepsen Jensen 12 +1 2 Syzmon Wozniak 11 +1 3 Kacper Gomolski 15 4 Joel Larsson 3 5 Jonas Jensen 5 +2 Esbjerg 36 1 Mikkel Bech 13 2 Steen Jensen 2 +1 3 Rene Bach 12 4 Thomas Jorgensen 4 5 Michael Palm Toft 7 -
All hope of seeing Darcy race may not yet be lost. Despite Chris Holder stating very recently that Ward will not be racing on Sunday and may wait until mid-May, there are reports in today's Polish media (at 10:50am) that Darcy does indeed race on Sunday! i certainly hope it's a case of the latter being the case. Sadly i may not get to see this match live as i'm hosting a few friends round for something else, but i'll check back through the thread and bookmark the links given recently for catch up video of meetings. Isn't every match already holding the tension of a play-off match for Torun with their eight point deficit to overcome? I do want to at least get to watch early match mind. I got racecards ready for both televised meetings and am just holding back to see if any more concrete confirmations of line-ups are forthcoming. I may not get a chance to update any very late changes as i'm not going out until very late tonight and not sure how early i get back home tomorrow, but no sweat as speedway fans we used to scribbling changes down lol.

Ok myself and R&R could cycle forever on this with particular spat with negations and assertions etc, so i'll not add to anything since my previous post and agree PLEASE let's try and keep this section where each thread is discussing or giving notifications concerning the great world of International speedway. As ever great thanks and credit to all in this section who take the time to collate and pass on information. Peace Out

I'll keep it as long or short as i desire. Let's not make a saga out of this, but just to respond to your post.....lol i hadn't noticed you were changing the title of this Polish thread. Pros and cons to that i guess, but regarding the latter it means one has to plough through page after page of the thread if one wanted to read about an earlier week, not a frugal use of the forum's resources and extremely time-consuming for the searcher. Cool that someone (yourself) makes a habit of relaying news from Sportowefakty and elsewhere in one place. However, from past postings i have notice you take umbrage if someone doesn't wait for you to be 'first' with the news or changes. Additionally going on past surprising posts popping up you seem to in a race all the time - but i can assure you that you're the only one racing! What wasn't true about the part in bold font? 1."I was already well aware of the televised clashes" TRUE 2. "but i'm always hesitant to publish fixtures, teams, news or anything ahead of you because you seem to get in a huff if you don't publish it first" TRUE Soooo......Apology for what??? Can we get back to discussing aspects of the thread's topic now, gee i made a post that was perfectly connected with what had gone before, it had zero insulting or critical content but you somehow took it as that and subsequently created a post that i am forced to reply to it's content.
-
Who said anyone had forgotten anything in a critical or blaming sense??? I await you ever using the phrase 'don't forget.....' i'll jump on you when you do and say in an indignant tone who forgot!!! I only made the post because your mention of the various European meetings coming up reminded me that i had noticed a few weeks ago that i'm going to be compiling racecards nearly every day of the week this season and this upcoming schedule was going to be more or less the start of that. I was already well aware of the televised clashes, but i'm always hesitant to publish fixtures, teams, news or anything ahead of you because you seem to get in a huff if you don't publish it first, therefore 9 times out of 10 i'm forever sitting back and waiting until you spot or get around to posting such things before we can start commentating on something. Anyways i'm glad that you are making use of all the sources i originally gave years ago

Nearest got to it was one in the Bournemouth Echo i think. The only iffy position would be the riding order of the Poole reserves, but Lee Smart does have the lower average, now whether a team manager can put his reserves in any order i don't know (he probably can). Anyways every source i've checked has the teams as printed for now. Will update them if ant solid changes are publicised. Looking forward to Stefan Nielsen clashing with Charles Wright, the latter could be a very prudent choice of guest.

Can't believe that the 'company' line of the weather was to blame for the low attendance filtered down to the Eurosport commentators. I thought the programme was over and was in another room but i heard that statement as i was returning. Gee so we take it that speedway supporters are wimps and cower indoors at the sight of rain? I've had lots of praise for Scott Nicholls and Andy Jaye they've been great, i don't lay any blame on them but they really did end up acting as a biased mouthpiece. I gonna move to North Korea for a superior semblance of see no evil, hear no evil etc.
