  1. If the Plymouth v Berwick fixture cannot be completed before the cut off, Berwick could be denied the opportunity to make the play offs.
  2. Palm toft still not riding for Lynn on Thursday, Sedgmen in as Guest? Bowtell for Kemp?
  3. Troy Batchelor? surely you must have to complete more than 4 meetings in the championship to qualify.
  4. Its an awful play off format, it looks like something the BSPA would come up with.
  5. I have been saying for years why do Discovery have a GP in Teterow when Gustrow produces way better racing....madness. Probably the same reason they go to Gorzow rather than Czestochowa or Bydgoszcz......money. Short term corporate greed rather than showcasing speedway at its best to attract the future generations.
  6. Probably was going to lebedev but he will take the place of Jack Holder, not sure who is the next best Latvian.
  7. Fair play to Oxford, looking at the forecast yesterday I wouldn't have blamed them for calling it off early.
  8. What did you expect, Lambert and Tai haven't done British Champ for years. Lets hope the Aussie doesn't get the wildcard.
  9. What I don't get is why didn't they do the practice an hour or two earlier, and then they could have saved the fans the bother of turning up.
  10. At Wroclaw I would go with Tai, Rob, Dan, Wright, Ellis. Of course there is opinion and debate who are the best top 5, the justification for using Brennen over Wright is one of the most bizarre I have seen i.e he rides in poland so he going to score more points at Wroclaw( despite Belle Vue being the most similar track to Wroclaw). The real reason that Wright wasn't include is because he didn't want ride in European pairs in Finland.
  11. People are misunderstanding this thread, there is no criticism of the riders who all give it 100%. The criticism is of Simon Stead and Oliver Allen who didn't pick the top 5 riders.
  12. According to a lot of the riders Wroclaw track is most similar to Belle Vue, Charles Wright has a higher average than Tom Brennen despite Brennen being at reserve.
  13. This 'giving them experience' should really not enter calculations. When fighting for medal it should be top 5 riders. If you care to the read world cup thread, there was lots of criticism from myself and others when the GB squad was announced.
  14. That's silly logic to suggest those who ride in Poland will be the best riders for the job. By that logic if Brennen, Eliis and Worral were injured would you have put Kemp in the team.
  15. They have had problems with the Krosno track all year. This isn't the first postponement for no good reason.
  16. Nobody has ever cared about the European Pairs, look at the role of honour and past line ups...... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Pairs_Speedway_Championship , I don't blame riders for turning down the opportunity to travel to the arse end of Finland for a mickey mouse competition.
  17. Thats is what is wrong, it should be the riders that are most likely to score the most points. Charles wright would have been more likely than Brennen to score points. I think it cost us.
  18. According to a lot of the riders Wroclaw track is most similar to Belle Vue, Charles Wright has a higher average than Tom Brennen despite Brennen being at reserve.
  19. Their decision not to include riders in the GB squad because they didn't want to compete in lesser competitions has cost GB dearly IMO. We will never know what Charles Wright would have scored but any sane man would have put money on him scoring a point in the final. Such a poor decision would not have been made by the likes of Gary May, Stewart Dickson or Middleditch........time for a change.
  20. Tom may well gain from this but his inclusion in the team was a mistake, there were better riders.
  21. Simon Stead and Oliver Allen have made poor choices, If we would have had C.Wright and C.Harris in the team we would have been lifting the trophy.
