  1. Coventry speedway website.... Thursday June 01, 2023IT has now been confirmed that Brandon Estates have appealed to the Secretary of State against the unanimous refusal by Rugby Borough Council’s Planning Committee to grant planning permission. The refusal notice was dated November 16, 2022, and from that point the applicants had six months with which to lodge an appeal. The appeal was lodged on May 12, 2023.The appeal will be determined on the basis of a public inquiry, the date of which is to be confirmed. We have copies of the appeal documents and we can assure everyone that these will be scrutinised with exactly the same rigour as in all previous submissions made on behalf of Brandon Estates. We will point out to the Planning Inspectorate any errors or untruths which appear in these documents. We will also be applying for Rule 6 status with the Inspectorate which will enable us to formally participate in the appeal process. All correspondence received by Rugby Borough Council relating to this application has been forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate. If you sent an e-mail or letter to RBC (either supporting or opposing the application) you should have received an e-mail or letter explaining the process. This also gives you the opportunity to contact the Inspectorate at the contact details given in the letter, and either modify or withdraw your previous representation – or to make further comments. If you wish to re-affirm your opposition (or support) for the planning application, you are more than welcome to contact the Inspectorate.Should you make further comments, please note that these should be entirely regarding the Brandon Estates planning application, rather than our own application which is currently on hold whilst this process takes place. We can assure everyone that we will be working to ensure that the Inspectorate are provided with all the facts required such that the decision taken by the members of the Planning Committee at Rugby Borough Council, and supported by an overwhelming majority of the general public, is upheld on appeal.
  2. I think this will be very close, scunny need to Kemp to hit the ground running.
  3. Wow what a signing, it somehow seems wrong the undefeated world champion comes in on an 8.00 average.
  4. I am not sure what would happen in a scenario where they were level after the super heat?
  5. Czestochowa is the best track in the world when they get the track prep right.
  6. Clegg must have raced his last race for us, 5.5 points to play with.
  7. I don't know why they reduced the points limit but it is irrelevant to the point I was making, a higher points wouldn't result in a more evenly balanced teams.
  8. It doesn't really matter what the points limit is, the clubs with the most money to pay the riders i.e Glasgow and Poole get their pick of riders. Glasgow and Poole are 1st division clubs that are in champ due to various reasons(geography/race nights).
  9. No doubt, I believe they run the club well and make a profit/don't lose money like some clubs. It seems odd though to move down a league and complain other teams can't build a stronger enough side.
  10. Maybe Poole are working with a bigger budget than some club.
  11. I assume Godfrey has been on the phone to Kemp begging him to sign.
  12. I wouldn't model it on Vojens, if I were building it from scratch.
  13. Godfrey works in mysterious ways sometimes, surely Kemp was the best option.
  14. Looks like Nathan Ablitt and kemp then
  15. Can Scunny still use a guest for Zaine on Friday or is 28days up. Do we have an extension, or is a signing imminent?
