  1. Excuse my ignorance, is this fixture purely for the Devils fans to see their team in action or is it a fund raiser with proceeds going to their survival?
  2. Good solid replacement for Starky, Alex a big favourite of the Rebels. Always nice when an ex rider can fill a guest slot. Extra rides for him as well cos of R/R I suppose.
  3. You going Shads? I think it will be close maybe only 5 or 6 in it. If Josh, Charles and Paul are on the money , we should be ok. Prob r/r for us for poor old Jake, reserves and Starke I think. I shall be following on the updates.
  4. Tough opener for the Rebs I think, the lads from Herts have struggled in recent times at the OTA but with Kennett and Robbo ( a good friend of the Rebels )going well at the moment could be close. Another ex Rebel in Leigh Lanham who goes well at our place in the side, as well. On hols myself so will miss this one and the one on Monday, hope they are both good scraps and cheer Speedway up a bit after a dreadful week.
  5. Pretty crappy for Jack Holder he must be wondering what he's done to deserve all this. Comes over on an agreed 5 average to a team that includes his mate Brady Kurtz, that all changes overnight and he becomes a 7. Plymouth take him on amid accusations of cheating against the Rebels from various angles. Then Plymouth resign him for this season and go bust...and now looks like it is home for him now. He must look at Brady's career so far and think what's happened. I really hope something gets sorted for this lad, he has genuine talent and deserves better than this.
  6. Big thanks to my local team Rye House for ensuring a Good Friday fixture for the Rebels. Would have been a massive loss on a holiday for us had there been no fixture. I was reading there was a bit of argy bargy over the original fixture with the Devils which ultimately ended with Somerset changing a challenge to a lc fixture. Bit annoying tbh if they already new there would be a no show, thus potentially snookering us on a holiday weekend. Thanks again to Rye( and also P/biro) who have helped out. I will say I'm sorry to see the closure of another Sw venue, hopefully a saviour can be found.
  7. Oh dear , what a shame , SW coast lose another club. Just read the article from the Herald and it says the promotion knew they were in trouble and with hindsight shouldn't have put forward a team this season. I wonder if they told the riders they signed there may be a chance they would close ?
  8. Not busting a blood vessel mate, just didn't see it like you, as I said , opinions. Good point though about backing off👍, not so sure about Fricke not aware he was there lol
  9. So it was Bradys fault his bike picked up some grip and headed for the fence. As for the Morris/ Fricke incident the general consensus amongst the crowd that day was should have probably been all four back, and ruined a great meeting, never mind in the past now. Sorry don't buy the "over exuberance" slant, opinions though.
  10. Bit harsh imo, 50/50 decision two years ago, and a bike hitting the only bit of uneven track on the night which shot it into the fence, last year. Bad luck I would say , of which Somerset have had rather more than their fair share in important fixtures over the years .
  11. Have the Rebs definately got the Pairs again, can't see it confirmed anywhere.
  12. Agree Jenga (first for me I think ha), was disappointed to see no Brady this year.
  13. Well done Brady Kurtz for winning in Aus today, bad luck Rohan hope he and Josh are not too badly injured.
  14. Well done to Brady Kurtz for winning in Aus, and to all the Rebels lads past and present. Hope Josh and Rohan are not too badly hurt, roll on March COYR.
  15. Great to see Brady and Rohan going so well, final round should be a goodun.
  16. too right Dave, never go on here when you are drinking, ha ha , I accept the shame sir
  17. Coming from you Lewy about Somerset must be true ha ha
  18. Maybe it's my age but when I read unsubstantiated comments like "from what I heard" I tend to switch off. Didn't the Rebels bring him back at the end of last season after the Panthers released him, no sour grapes there surely.
  19. Dont get this , how are the Rebels getting their own back? He is not in our side this year, but pulled out a couple of weeks before the start of last season, easy enough. I'm not blaming the lad, just the double standards that pitch up on here occasionally.
  20. Tungate going well in Aus , added the Crumpy Classic to the S/A champs well done .
  21. Not really lewy just pointing out that it swings both ways, nobody seemed to be too bothered when Ollie quit at the eleventh hour. BSF exploded when it went the other way over the Ty Proctor business, and a happy new year to you👍
  22. The same Greenwood who let Somerset down just before the off last season.
