  1. I don't know obviously but I am wondering if the Darcy Ward accident is affecting him. I didn't realise that he lived with Darcy at Middlo's house until the other day. In an interview he said that his generation had always looked up to Darcy for the obvious reasons and quite frankly if it hadn't been affected by Darcy's accident I think that would be more worrying. Who could not fail to be moved by Darcy's tearful address to the Poole faithful the other night. He is clearly having a few bike problems at the moment which doesn't help but hopefully he can get his head around it all and stick in a double figure score on Sunday. The tie is still wide open and these 2015 Rebels never give up, we done it once up in chilly jocko land we can do it again 😉
  2. I think this will be a close one with maybe just a couple of points over the two legs deciding the tie. Lawson could be a key for Glasgow as he is a bit hit and miss at our place. If all of the Rebs turn up on Friday though buoyed by the great show against the other Jocks the other week it could be very tough for the Tigers.
  3. Great week for the Rebels culminating in ex captain fantastic Jason Doyle bagging second in the GP. Smug Monarchs strangely complementary on here.
  4. I'm a long way away at the moment on a well earned holiday but I just like to say I hope the Rebs get a few decisions tonight and turn the Jockos over. Smug mode and self righteous mode and name calling mode is all a bit boring now tbh. Safe nights racing please to all riders and safe journey up to any Rebs making the journey. If I can get a connection tonight I will be on the update site.
  5. Hope the track holds up better tonight over the two matches. On the rebels last visit to rye that was a double header that only managed 4 heats in the second match!
  6. Thumping win for the Rebels last night, should make the second leg a formality. I would normally be attending the second leg at Rye but I have a family wedding to attend. However I shall be keeping an eye on proceedings ha. Not sure why nobody who went last night has started this thread off so, look forward to reading comments now👍
  7. Not sure about dire straits OT but he has certainly been great for us this year and should progress into the top 5 next year.
  8. Well done Somerset, after a blip when all and sundry had a real good laugh at us when we slumped against Plymouth and Edinburgh, the Somerset promotion come up with the goods again and the Rebels pick up two away wins against Play off rivals. Can the Rebels make it four play off finals in a row, what an achievement if we can. KO Cup semi to come next week as well, regardless of how it all ends up, another great season for us. PS Good luck to Brady and Josh today, stay safe lads Doyleys injury in the PLRC in 2012 cost us the title.
  9. Having a real bad time with fixtures this season. Booked today off work to go this, 👎, on top of finding out the KO Cup semi at Rye is on a day I'm going to a wedding😕, fingers crossed for next Saturday lol
  10. Coventry a couple of seasons back, Plymouth definitely one of the form teams at the moment imo.
  11. Bit harsh calling the devils a joke club Nice paid 10 for Brady on friday and another sub 57 sec time, and still averaging well over 9, I`ll settle for that tbh. Personally would just like him to cut back a bit on the guest apps, couldn`t bear to go into play offs again without our No1 if he gets injured.
  12. Do you agree though now we are at the sharp end it was a good move by both teams if they want to win the play offs, or in Plymouths case qualify.
  13. Lewy logic Lanham last 4 matches for Rebels 13 points Jensen first 4 matches for Rebels 32 points. At the moment it looks like both teams have made a good move.
  14. Hmm Bowen in the top 5, get the point about the long tail, lot of pressure on the Jakobsen Lykke partnership. Guessing Lambert will be at 5.
  15. All the very best Leigh, thanks for helping us out this season.
  16. Brady guesting for Sheffield again tonight I see. Apart from P/Boro , also Edinburgh and Leicester, world u/21`s , as I said just seems a lot for an 18 year old.
  17. Careful aroundtheboards this forum is about opinions, not right or wrong. I dont think Naj is necessarily challenging your view just giving a different take. I agree with his point where you said "Somerset faithful never agreed to your release" not sure about that. Having been watching speedway on and off for almost as long as you, I can understand your attitude regarding loyalty to riders, unfortunately sport in general isn`t like that now, its all about results. All riders know when they sign for a club that they may be moved out for no reason. Kyle Howarth lost his place at Swindon to accommodate Darcy Ward for instance.Gary May is and has been a very successful manager for Somerset ,regardless of his racing career. Whether Rasmus is loyal on not he will be treated the same as all the others . I personally have not heard a bad word from Leigh himself about his time at Somerset, in fact on his twitter feed he wished the club all the best.I too thought he was unfortunate and have supported him on this forum, but I do understand why Gary made the change, time will tell if he has made the right move.
