  1. Had the same thing happen myself, normally I would screw esp with Tai in the final. However with that rubbish last night, it was no mega deal, just saw the result on the updates site. Well Done Matej!! A total shambles, I mean a track with long straights and a narrow entry to the bends is a recipe for a gate and go borefest. Way too slick, Ruts appearing, almost every race with riders lifting violently off bend two. To compound the misery they overwatered the track during the interval which made it way too greasey! !! Not one of the SGPs finest hours and we go to Prague next for more gate and go speedway!
  2. They have indeed come down at Birmingham next year!!
  3. Great News to hear that Sheffield has new owners, its a great venue and a fantastic race track that in my opinion should one day be in the Elite League.
  4. Would have loved Kenni at the Brummies but the correct decision from judge. Im sure it wouldnt be long before he gets a phone call when a rider is injured/replaced once the season starts
  5. I had the same thing about a week back, have had it in my bookmarks for years and link always worked. Went to click on it and it showed a page saying it didnt exist and had some porn links on the page, I know the address I had wasnt speedwaygb.co, cant rememember whether it was .com or .co.uk but as I say it always worked until then. Strange
  6. Every year it seems the BSPA miss out key changes in the statement that come out of the AGM, it seems 2013 is no different. Dont know whether this applies to PL aswell as EL: 1. Highest averaged rider doesnt have to ride in the number 1 postion, but top 3 have to ride 1, 3 or 5. 2. If any of your top 5 are missing then you have the option of a guest. This was apparently said at the Brummies talk in last night.
  7. Perhaps it may be screened on the Speedwaytv.tv website like the Polish Playoffs were, would be such a shame to lose Swedish Speedway from our screens.
  8. On the sports radio show, Graham Drury said the BSPA are negotiating with 3 tv companies, with I suspect them two companies involved. Who would be the third company I wonder? .
  9. I really hope Phil gets the job, he did an awesome at Brum last year I personally believe it was his motivational skills and man management that played a big part in what we did. There was alot of off track issues at Brum and it would have been easy for heads to drop and performance s too but it didnt. Alongside him I would love to see Mark Loram as his assistant, would offer alot to the GB setup
  10. Brummies finished with the same 7 that started the season, amazing given the injury problems of previous years. Will be there interesting to see how many return, 2 already gone and no idea what league we are riding in next year.
  11. Says on the Wolverhampton 2014 thread that at last nights talk in , if no sky deal and the EL weakened THREE PL teams to move up. Would imagine Ipswich would be one along with Leicester, just unsure about the third?
  12. I dont think racing every two weeks would get the crowds coming in. If you are reaching out to new fans then I think regular weekly speedway is what you need. Whats to say on the week you dont race at home, new potential fans do something else, love it and never come back to watching speedway. You need new fans to get in the habit of going and having home meetings every two weeks wont do that.
  13. Really glad Tai got it wrapped so early, and truely deserves it. The desire and grit he has showed this year has been amazing, when you consider the injury setbacks he has had with his collerbone. Despite the doom and gloom surrounding the sport in this country at times, its just great to have a British rider top of the world. You have done the sport and country proud Tai Woffinden!!
  14. Well if club sites are taken down crashing when there are only 27 vistors then what hope is there for the main site, the day after the first Britain for 13 years wins the World Championship.
  15. All the best toTai, will be watching the action with a few . Come on Wuffy!!
  16. He will ride at Scunny I would imagine as that fixture was arranged prior to our match at KL.
  17. Craig Cook Micky Dyer Alex Davies Ashey Birks Richie Worrall Jozsef Tabaka Lewis Kerr
  18. It says on the Brummies site that Ben has NOT had the operation and is going to his local hospital in Cornwall for a second opinion.
  19. Its all been sorted now ( on Thursday Afternoon), they had to phone me and it was fixed a while later after the tech guys looked into it. Its just seems my payment wasn't authorised on the site, the payment history section had no details of the payment I made even though they and I had a receipt for Paypal!! Fair play to them for dealing with this in the way they did, it was done by e-mail but in the last one they asked me for my number and I got a call within 30 minutes of me sending them that email.
  20. Cant say I'm surprised, earlier this season he almost had a fight with Kenneth Bjerre on the track, when Bjerre guested for the Hammers at Brum. They were meant to be team mates for that night!!
  21. I dont think Porky is dreadful, I'm just not a fan of his over the top style, and when he calls us "yummy brummies" . He whips up the crowd pretty well and I must admit I have heard and seen some funny things involving him. Like at a Dudley match when he tripped over the tapes and went flying head first on the straight!! What i do like about him, is at least he appreciates the away following, once he's ribbed them anyway . The last Wolves/Brummies match there were a good number of brummies fans that made the trip and as it finished thanked us for making the trip which was a nice touch. My favorite presenter is Chris Simpson, call me biased if you like but he does a great job at Brum and what a change it was from Peter Yorke who did the first year at Brum. Another guy I like is Kevin Coombes who does Eastbourne, very good when I was there a few years back.
  22. I wish I could watch Sunday's match but I'm having big problems subscribing with Speedwaytv.tv . I registered first which was fine, at the end of doing that you have to decide what package you want and give your payment details. I got the 3 day pass, and payed which I was sent as I got a email from Paypal saying it had been sent to Go Speed International. Now I log in but when I click on the match in the Live section all I get is a blue screen saying I must be logged in OR purchase a subscription to view. I am logged in and I have subscribed!!! I have sent them an e-mail and just another one which will hopefully resolve it but just want to know if others have had the same issues or is just me doing something wrong ( Probably likely )
  23. Smolinski has put over 2pts on his Elite League, and I agree hes been a massive success in our efforts this season. At the same time, he gets ALOT of stick from people which is unwarranted, comments about him being the worst gp rider in history before he's even completed a race in it, is ridiculous. Some of the accusations ( with no proof) earlier in the year of an oversized engine were shocking, and totally disrespectful to rider who is having a great season. It wasn't just fans on here but an EL team manager!! Its great to have a rider like Smoli in the GP, he may not be the most naturally gifted rider around and not a rider you would instantly think of as future world champion but he's a showman and thoroughly nice bloke, that always gives his all. All this dependent on Iversen finishing in the top 8 of course!
  24. 3 Brummies in it now, Good Luck to all them and I hope Smoli's bike doesnt catch on fire like it did on Wednesday
