  1. I think that is a really valid point regarding Richie Worrall, I believe he has a similar mentality and as a consequence he is involved in first bend incidents and those like we saw tonight, other riders may have backed off when summers dived in front and crash could have been avoided, however would Nicki Pedersen - no, and neither does Richie Worrall, he sees the need to fight for position and not give them up. An attitude I applaud in a young British rider, however I also think that he does need to be aware of the times that the odds are not in his favour and he needs to give in and live to fight another race and be aware of other riders positions - all of this will come with experience (he is a young rider with limited racing years). He does get some bad press and there is a thin line between hard riding and unfair riding! Best wishes to him, didn't seem too bad and hopefully back soon and progressing in his career. On point of fans I apologise on behalf of all genuine Redcar fans, but has been said on numerous occasions, ALL tracks have their morons!!
  2. It's one of the great rules that speedway has - rider can move and get a warning , if he moves and touches tapes excluded. So Dyer moves, makes Worrall go who touches tapes (well actually demolishes and takes them for a tour of track!) and Worrall excluded - is it fair?? Whoever said speedway rules/interpretations were fair?
  3. Bears will have a replacement for Max Dilger, who broke his leg last night
  4. Too true EVERY track has it's clowns and the rest of us are embarassed by them !! Best Wishes to young Mr Tully

  7. Totally agree - Pleased to hear it's not as bad as it looked from crash perspective. Best Wishes for a speedy recovery and return to the saddle
  8. I can see a case for a claim as to greatest promoter, but even though I was delighted to have some e-mail correspondence with John over the last few years and highly respect him as an individual, I think you are hard pushed to justify him as the greatest person ever
  9. Basic maths shows that top two riders get an extra ride (ht 15) so teams need riders to take advantage of that, plus opportunity to utilise t/r rides.. Yes - reserves can have extra rides, but averages should eventually dictate that weakest riders are in reserve berth
  10. I would think all Ippo fans would be interested in the top end averages, as it would appear you have missed out on Pairs now following the fours.
  11. In the three I commented on in my view ref got it wrong once regarding Richie.
  12. In my view there is hard riding, dirty riding and "reckless" riding Of the three incidents referred to from Redcar I would say two were hard riding, first running of heat 15 with Kus and last week's heat 13, Richie didn't back off going into first bend (as supporters would expect) and neither did opponents resulting in classic first bend bunching as early poster said 6 and two 3s. The other incident, second running of heat 15, I think it was "reckless" riding and by that I mean Richie tried to pull off a move that wasn't on and as a result caused both riders to crash. I think he was trying to be hard, but wasn't in position, nor had the skill, to succeed in his manouvere. Hopefully on reflection he learns from this and accepts his capabilities and knows when to make moves and when not. As to tonight can't comment, but if he refused to back off and everyone came together then fair enough Richie has been impressive this season and it is fantastic to see a young British rider improving so much, pity it's not in a Redcar jacket!! At the moment every crash with him "involved" is going to get comments and he does need to ensure he doesn't gain a reputation which would be difficult to shift.
