Exeter: it says so several times. This is actually taken from the webpage of a local paper. So why are you worrying about it? -
Birmingham Brummies 2017 Hat Trick

Probably replacing Kean Dicken. -
Speedway: Falcons grounded by super Wildcats Neil Walton Sports Reporter WEYMOUTH Wildcats pulled off a stunning upset in the Southern Development League against Exeter Falcons at Somerset’s Oak Tree Arena by securing a 21-14 victory with just three riders. Wildcats were missing captain Martin French among others but the trio of stand-in captain Kenny Bowdery, James Chattin and Chris Bambury put in a superb display on the night to earn Wildcats their first triumph, and points, of the season. Each Wildcat took an extra ride to negate their missing rider and it worked to Weymouth’s advantage as they avenged a 19-17 defeat to Exeter at their previous clash in May. After two heats Exeter enjoyed a 7-5 lead but a 5-1 success in the third, thanks to a win by Bowdery and a last-minute pass from Bambury, gave Weymouth a lead they would not relinquish. A 4-2 victory in the fourth heat, with Bambury leading from start to finish, moved Wildcats 14-10 up but the nerves were jangling later in the fifth. Bowdery, on his extra ride, was excluded from the race when his bike failed to start, but Wildcats’ co-promoter Martin Peters explained the problem was simpler to solve than expected. He said: “Heat five was where Kenny took the extra ride but he didn’t actually start the race. His bike stopped working and he got excluded. “When Kenny came back in we found out he forgot to turn his fuel on! Bar that blip he won all his races.” That slight mishap left Weymouth unaffected as they took four more points in the final heat for a memorable 21-14 victory, a result which left the future-minded Peters delighted. “The lads rode really well, they all took an extra ride. We’re quite pleased really. “Martin French was overjoyed for us. He’s one of those guys who puts 100 per cent into it. The rest of us were happy because it’s the first points on the board. “There are a lot of strong teams in the league so to get some points is good. We’re happy and looking forward to the next one now,” he said. “It’s all about developing those riders. For us it’s great to win but it’s more about getting those riders out there. Maybe we can attract more people from the Weymouth area and move on from there. “In two years’ time we could have a team with two 15-year-olds and two 16-year-olds,” Peters added.

Swindon - Plymouth 22.6.17 National Trophy Meeting
*JJ replied to A ORLOV's topic in National League Speedway
Judging by the way he rode at Birmingham last Wednesday, a VERY good rider! -
Flint. He did not have a good meeting! It was ... there was only going to be one winner, but Zach and Morley took heats 13 and 15 to keep it close.

Birmingham Brummies 2017 Hat Trick

He told me that he hoped to come back next month. -
This is the mistake which David Hemsley made, designing it with long straights, thinking to make a 'fast' speedway, and refusing to listen to advice.
-
Which was what?
-
Didn't take long for people to rat on him. Actually, Richings was going well until he was recently injured.
-
If if if ... If Clegg hadn't broken the tapes in the first heat, Birmingham would have won! The fact is, the reserves couln't handle the wet conditions, except Powell, who was excellent. Brilliant ride from Knight, who went from 15 metres to win in one race; and fantastic Heat 13!

Or, simply, in a scrap yard, along with Birmingham Monarchs' cycle speedway bikes, those bronze war memorial plaques, and my toolbox.

Indeed. When he rode for the Brummies in 2008, he was obviously going to the top; he was faster than Jason Lyons, and not many people can say that!
-
If you mean the Stoke track, that is not surprising.
-
True ... and he is aged 72!
-
Well, I walked out on to the track on Saturday, and was horrified at its state: like a concrete roadway which had been carpet-bombed. The two best Stoke riders lost the match by falling off when in the lead, but they can't be blamed for that ... the track is to blame, and whoever doesn't get it fixed.

Who is talking rubbish now? These teams should not be composed of NL riders: are there no beginners in the south?
-
O'Keefe riegularly riding for Buxton. Neither of these teams is really playing the game?
-
Don't hold your breath ...
-
Or Kyle Roberts.
-
Riders who show up well, or even seem likely to, are soon snapped up by EL or PL teams, as we have found out at Birmingham.
-
Birmingham lost all their assets because the previous EL promotion went bust. The present promotion started from scratch and so has no assets. Eastbourne & Coventry (and Cradley) still have assets.
-
Zach Wajknecht did it in 2015.
