  1. Klecha was signed for 2007 as well but due to his poor performances last season the management wants him to be loaned to Division 1 where he could ride more and rebuild his old shape. So if we wanted him here he'd not go anywhere. That's what the club management decided. Personally I disagree and would keep Klecha in Bydgoszcz in case someone gets injured. In the current situation even Klecha might be better than some other riders.. There's one gap to filled and it's being said it's gonna be Loram, Hamill or Max.. I hope it will be the Brit.
  2. What's so shocking ? If you followed the current market of speedway riders you'd know there's nobody valuable to sign now.. And Zagar's probably gonna resign from Polish league at all. I really hope so too. He might do well especially around our track where gating is not that import. And even if he doesn't score a lot it's always a pleasure to watch him fighting throughout all 4 laps..
  3. Bydgoszcz have just signed Staszewski and Okoniewski from Zielona Gora Mr Tillinger, Polonia vice-chairman, who was responsible for all talks with potential new riders screwed everything and Bydgoszcz are gonna have the weakest team this year (well, at least on paper..). There's no class rider left now to be signed. I mean a rider who can be one of so called leaders. It was claimed there were so many riders who 'were to' go to Bydgoszcz - among the others B.Pedersen, R.Sullivan finally Holta.. Especially the last one was almost fixed. But even this didn't work The other side of the case is that all them wanted huge money and I really wonder if some the clubs won't fall into financial trouble even already in the middle of 2007 Both T.Gollob and Holta are worth more than half of a budget a normal Ekstraliga club.. But that's Tarnow problem now. Things were going alright untill PePe decided to leave. The gap after him increased every rider's demands more than much... Anyway it doesn't make any excuse for the management of the club that has just overslept the current transfer season. Bydgoszcz are gonna be probably the most stable club financially but I am afraid that with this stability we can eventually finish in Division 1 So far the line-up is: AJ, Staszewski, Okoniewski, Buczkowski, Sajfutdinov, Jedrzejewski.. + Loram/Klecha/Sawina/??? ..Nigdy nie spadnie, Polonia nigdy nie spadnie!
  4. Cool, but there's already a thread for such news in the International Speedway subforum.
  5. Yes, I was at Poznan v Krosno in October. I live 5-10 mins by tram from the Novotel which is actually in the town centre - about 15 mins by walk to the old square. My uni, the railway station and other strategic locations are nearby as well As for 2007 - there's also SWC in Leszno in July. If I stay in Poland for that summer I'll make Poznan my HQ for this event. Generally speaking, anyone on a shoestring budget (and not only of course) warmly welcomed as my flat is empty from the end of June till October so there could be made some good use of it
  6. Nothing. They won't be riding next year.
  7. Yes. When I wrote above I didn't know which club he'd choose.
  8. Good to know Direct translations sound funny sometimes
  9. Yes They wanna promote Lech Pils which is one kind of their beers - available in Poznan only, IMHO better than normal Lech
  10. Polish Division 1 fixtures for 2007 have been released. Once it's done for Ekstraliga I'll post it too. I've moved to Poznan due to my studies so should be going to some matches here from time to time. If anyone would have Poznan in their trip plans in 2007 - let me know I round - 09.04.2007 Grudziadz - Lublin Poznan - Rybnik Ostrow - Gniezno Gdansk - Gorzow II round - 15.04.2007 Gniezno - Gdansk Rybnik - Ostrow Lublin - Poznan Gorzow – Grudziadz III round - 22.04.2007 Gniezno - Rybnik Poznan - Grudziadz Ostrow - Gorzow Gdansk – Lublin IV round - 29.04.2007 Grudziadz - Ostrow Rybnik - Gdansk Lublin - Gniezno Gorzow – Poznan V round - 03.05.2007 Rybnik - Lublin Ostrow - Poznan Gniezno - Gorzow Gdansk – Grudziadz VI round - 06.05.2007 Grudziadz - Gniezno Poznan - Gdansk Lublin - Ostrow Gorzow – Rybnik VII round - 20.05.2007 Gniezno - Poznan Rybnik - Grudziadz Lublin - Gorzow Gdansk – Ostrow VIII round - 27.05.2007 Grudziadz - Rybnik Poznan - Gniezno Ostrow - Gdansk Gorzow – Lublin IX round - 10.06.2007 Gniezno - Grudziadz Rybnik - Gorzow Ostrow - Lublin Gdansk – Poznan X round - 24.06.2007 Grudziadz - Gdansk Poznan - Ostrow Lublin - Rybnik Gorzow – Gniezno XI round - 08.07.2007 Gniezno - Lublin Poznan - Gorzow Ostrow - Grudziadz Gdansk – Rybnik XII round - 22.07.2007 Grudziadz - Poznan Rybnik - Gniezno Lublin - Gdansk Gorzow – Ostrow XIII round - 29.07.2007 Grudziadz - Gorzow Poznan - Lublin Ostrow - Rybnik Gdansk – Gniezno XIV round - 05.08.2007 Gniezno - Ostrow Rybnik - Poznan Lublin - Grudziadz Gorzow - Gdansk Play-Off I round 1st leg - 19.08.2007 I round 2nd leg - 26.08.2007 (I round 3rd leg - 02.09.2007 – when it’s a draw in both matches I guess ) II round 1st leg - 16.09.2007 II round 2nd leg - 23.09.2007 (II round 3rd leg - 30.09.2007) Race-off - 07.10.2007 Race-off - 14.10.2007
  11. At last Bydgoszcz are getting less torunian and the Torun line-up is gonna be filled with their local boys. Hopefully Gollob won't land in Torun (which would destroy this tendency and everything) and the next derby matches will taste better than ever The best option would be Tomek Gollob back to Bydgoszcz and Tomek Chrzanowski back to Torun. Torun 100% torunian and Bydgoszcz with their hero. Unfortunately unreal I'm afraid.
  12. More than you over there, in the city of Liverpool
  13. Well, I'm sure he won't be riding in Bydgoszcz. That's certain & confirmed. And I also hope he won't land in your club. Torun & Gollob just don't go with. Ye, and will be riding in a pair with PePe As for Bydgoszcz things are much better than they look like in media but cannot say anything until contracts are signed (which should be done soon).
  14. You as Zielona Gora in general. As for AJ - no way! The last and only faithful rider here, just priceless.
  15. You've stolen PePe from Bydgoszcz so what can I say? So far we've got AJ and 3 juniors only.. We'll see.. Not this year mate. He's staying in Tarnow, at least for 2007.
  16. To get a licence every team of Ekstraliga must be so called 'sports joint-stock company' (don't know if it's how u call it in English). Eveything's fine with Bydgoszcz and Leszno (what made u think it's about the stadiums??). Founding joint-stock companies in these cities is just in progress but legally everything's ok. Bydgoszcz and Leszno were given so called temporary licences as courts in these cities haven't finished founding the joint-stock companies yet but it doesn't matter at all - once things are done both will be given normal licences. The only strange situation is taking place in Wroclaw. I'm not up to date with it really but as I know Wroclaw thought they could run as a limited company, not a joint-stock one
  17. The 49th richest man in Central-Eastern Europe, 2nd in Poland. His an owner of many companies and built his fortune playing on a stock market. Gollob going to Torun would be the end of the world.
  18. Anything wrong with this? Apart from some logistics problems and mainly costs of travel I think it's not a bad idea.
  19. PePe has signed for 3 years and Iversen for 1.
  20. PePe's gone. Today he said he wouldn't be riding in Bydgoszcz next year. He gave some silly reasons but it's quite obvious Zielona Gora offered him more.. Anyway, on Monday when he had his last negotiations with the Bydgoszcz management everything seemed to be fixed and PePe was to sign the contract today. But eventually, despite it all he made a call saying goodbye. Don't like the way of his leaving but good luck to him wherever he lands. Needless to say the situation of Polonia Bydgoszcz is quite f*cked now The best man to fill this gap would be T.Gollob of course but his requirements are rather strange and connected with the political situation etc. in Bydgoszcz mostly...
