  4. Very hard to predict which one that will not qualify of those. Ia lso believe that if these 4 make it to the final heat. The one who misses out are quite likely to get a wild card. Have the FIM changed the heat format for this meeting ? It was always the top three scorers after 20 races, with run offs if necessary

  8. Woffinden came 12th in the Motala semi (2009) and was still gifted a GP spot, so there's hope yet for Harris

  16. Ljung was not given a wildcard he was put into the GP as a qualifier he was 6th in Vetlanda
  17. But the fact that Lindback Qualifies shows how bad the system is , Harris was only 2 points better over 11 GP results but gets a free entry because he's British, Harris's inclusion only shows that there's no point trying to qualify as the same old faces will get the places.
  18. Poland had meetings at Gniezno and Poznan,on frozen lakes on the 2nd and 8th of January. Two years ago the Polish promotor was trying to run a qualification round for the team championships on an artificial speedskating circuit near Warsaw, I think it was. GB were invited but the ACU didn't ask the FIM for a place, which meant the meeting was short of teams so wasn't held.
  19. I'm hoping that shopping thing doesn't happen But I have decided to retire, it was good while it lasted though. Many thanks for the support over the years
  20. The two heats that Sayfutinov and Ward have raced each other in the GP's this season, have seen defeats for Ward
  21. From what has been written by World Champions from the past, there has never been a large financial gain directly from the FIM, most of the rewards come in the form of sponsorships. Due to the level of FIM funding, the qualification rounds are not supported by the GP riders as it would prove, for them, to costly to ride. IMO that is more reason to use riders that are prepared to earn their place by the qualification rounds to achieve their ambitions, than ones that wait for hand outs.
  22. If Ward is in the line up for the GP's Holder may be looking for a wildcard this time next year, there was a reason he didn't become World U21 Champion. I can see Ward making the top eight but there's a huge step to the top six.
  23. They were used at Sanok (Poland) in 2008 at the EM Iceracing Championships, during the practice it recorded lap times and speeds. It was thought at the time, due to the warm weather, these times would be used to decide placings if the meeting was cancelled.
  24. Why should a national motorcyle federation(ACU), using licence holders money, help promotors increase their assets.
