Very much a meeting were the result was controlled by who was or wasn't there. But the Russians were always going to be top. The Austrians missed Harold Simon who would of reduced the Swedes impressive second place points total. As you write, Klabo would of been amongst the points as well. But Sweden raced well and deserved their second place

The Faringdon raceway was a dirt track, with a speedway track inside for training. The speedway track was maintained by parents and friends of the riders. Troy Smith, Martin Chessell and the Knappmans learnt there amongst others, Rosco had a few skids as well.

As Danny King is the current British Champion, he is the obvious choice for a place. There were 15 other riders that had the chance to win and claim a qualification place.

Adam Ellis had a good meeting, his gating was perfect, he dropped a point to Lambert, who passed him in his first ride. Then in his second ride he found too much drive on the 4th turn and lost a further point. The Russian,Chugunov and the Danish rider, Jackobsen both outscored him. So you cannot blame FIM bias if Adam Ellis doesn't get a wildcard pick.
