  1. I've done what you sugested and checked with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Individual_Sp...ld_Championship and it states 2009 1st Ward 2nd Pavlic 3rd Hougaard
  2. The Kumla Semi Final programme quoted Janowski's age as 17.
  3. Woffinden is not the most deserving, Harris is, as he was the only Brit to reach the GP Challenge Final. To answer the question about Hougaard and Pavlic being better in the GP's, that is unknown at this time, but they performed better in the U21. So form would suggest that woffinden will bring less to the series.
  4. Using this criteria the 4 nominations would be Ward, Pavlic, Hougaard then Woffinden. How can you bypass riders who performed better just to get a Brit in.
  5. It's the same as all the one off World Finals, lots of if's and but's and maybes but only one deserved winner.
  6. In Sweden it is the lowest averaged rider, the same as the UK
  7. What will the Sky sports team talk about now. They must be rewritting their scripts right now
  8. It's just got easier Janowski has fallen on the 1st turn and is excluded
  9. Next heat. heat 11 looks his toughest Pavlic. Janowski and Jonasson
  10. Disapointed to see that Pawlicki isn't in the line up now. He looked really good at the Kumla Semi final.
  11. Be fair they usually commentate on British speedway where noone overtakes
  12. Woffinden rode in the Lonigo GP Quailfier and failed to qualify finishing 7th, T H Jonasson, Schlein and Nieminen all qualified for the semi finals. He got a 2nd chance in the semi in Motala, due to other riders injuries, but finished on less points than Risager and Gafurov.
  13. On other threads on this forum, people are already booking hotels, sorting their tickets for Cardiff. Noone even knows who's riding but it doesn't matter to them. A British wildcard ? It would be better to have the best riders which would mean no Brit, and maybe an Aussie wildcard (Ward)
  14. The same Woffinden that finished 7th in the Lonigo GP Quailfier and failed to qualify, T H Jonasson, Schlein and Nieminen all qualified for the semi finals. The same Woffinden that got a chance in the semi in Motala, due to other riders injuries, but finished on less points than Risager and Gafurov. How low is the standard of the GB riders when the only qualification they need is the Sky sports commentator's waffle.
  15. The points from the also rans in this meeting have never been used to select wildcards before, whats special about Harris
  16. On current form, it looks like a straight race between the four Poles for the three places. Would make the GP's interesting, with five Polish riders in after Holta finishes in the top eight. At least then the worlds top speedway nation would have adequate representation.
  17. The track at Terenzano was used in 2008 for the GP qualification semi final, in 2007 it hosted a GP qualification round. During these meetings there would be FIM representatives who assess the suitability of the track.
  18. Thats the problem with British speedway on the world stage. I was at Eskilstuna on tuesday and watched Woffinden get 5 points from 5 rides in the reserve races. Kennett was scoring 3, 4, 3 from his 12 rides in 3 Swedish league meetings for Vargarna, he also came 11th in the 4th GP qualifying meeting with 5 points. How could anybody take a GP seriously with that standard of rider, just because of nationality. The qualification should be widened to include all riders interested in riding, with the best 14 joining the WC and local wildcard.
  19. T. Kroner should be his replacement as Lindback was at the Motala semi not Daugavpils
  20. No Nicholls is obvious, total lack of form and confidence. D.Ruud's Swedish average is higher than T H Jonasson, P Ljung or D Nermark. But interesting to see that B Pedersen is selected for Denmark despite his Poole form
