  1. What infuriates and at the same time saddens me is that these money grabbing oafs have no understanding of how their decisions actually affects the fans. For my family going to Brandon for our speedway fix wasn't just about our love of speedway, it was also meeting up with the many people who we now consider to be friends. I just hope now that planning permission is never granted and that the Bees will one day return to Brandon.
  2. Wishing you a speedy and full recovery Lewis. My thoughts are with you and your family x
  3. In my praise for Bomber I should have also mentioned Peter Kildemand. He didn't qualify tonight but surely it's only a matter of time before he does.
  4. Arson fire, agree with everything you say. Bomber has been on fire for the Bees lately and it looks like his good form has continued into the GP challenge. He's earned his place and I'm delighted for him. Well done Bomber
  5. Go Bomber, I knew he could do it. He's back to his best in the Elite league and is so exciting to watch when he's in form.
  6. Hope Adam soon gets snapped up by a team that appreciates him a bit more. He is naturally talented, always gives 100% and is still a young Brit who can be an asset to any team.
  7. I would love Greg to win, but if not then Nicki
  8. A slight knock? Like the one in the British final, which was even more important to him but where he stayed on the bike! I was at the meeting in Copenhagen and the Danes all around me said that Pedersen should have been excluded and it was the wrong decision.
  9. Congratulations to AJ on winning the GP, and also to Bomber who has done brilliantly this year. No 6 in the world, with three 2nd and one 3rd place
  10. Yes, he's certainly had his moments - 2 second places and a third place. Do you never have anything nice to say about Chris Harris, a British rider who has done very well this year in case you haven't noticed?
  11. Congratulations Tomasz on being a well deserved world champion and a big well done to Chris Harris on achieving his 3rd podium position this year
  12. Great to see Bomber on the podium tonight - go Bomber Tai also did well and can only get better
  13. Team GB doing us proud tonight Nice to see a really good team spirit, with Bomber doing a great job as captain. Lovely to see Adam Roynon with the team as well
  14. I agree also. I felt so sorry for Scott and it was hard to see him so down. I really hope he can find his form again soon.
  15. Well done Ricky Wells - he's improving every meeting and hopefully this will build his confidence even more
  16. I went to Prague and couldn't understand why the stadium was only half full. Then I watched the racing and knew why. Olsen and his cohorts are ruining the GP series with their insistence on ultra slick tracks that only suit the riders with the best machinery and who can gate and go. The viewing audience want to see the racers on tracks with a bit of grip. I guess the only way they will listen is when it hits them financially by dropping attendances.
  17. I agree with everything you say about Chris. Give him the right track conditions, ie. grippy, and he is one of the most exciting riders to watch. I wish the GP tracks would have a bit of variation from time to time so they don't just favour the gate and go riders. I was at Prague and the racing was boring due to the track being so slick - it looked like the M1.
  18. There is no better racer than Chris when the track is grippy, but unfortunately the GP tracks are always prepared slick resulting in the boring racing that we had to endure last week in Prague.
  19. Although, by his standards, Bomber had a disappointing season I really hope he can come back next year and be as good, if not better, than the 2007 season. I'd love him to add another GP win to the one he already has and shut up a few of the whingers on here.
  20. Just got back from Germany. What I think about Ole Olsen is unprintable. For a start, why did the shale have to come all the way from Denmark - don't they have such a thing in Germany? Why also was the shale left out in wet conditions en route to Germany? The man is a joke as are his tracks . After the shock of learning that the GP was cancelled due to a wet track (whilst baking in glorious sunshine), my group decided to make the best of a bad lot and just treated it as a nice weekend away. The hotel was great, food fantastic and we met some nice German and Danish fans, who were equally disgruntled.
  21. Yes, but there's only usually one track type at the Grand Prix and World Cup events. It would be nice to have some variation now and again.
  22. I agree about the will to win, which was perfectly illustrated by the Danes last night.
  23. A little more than the tracks that Olsen usually prepares. Still think that there would have been even more with a grippy track.
