Not so sure Berwick would attract the like of Steve Worrall but maybe brother Ritchie would be a better bet, certainly was close to signing for Berwick in the past. As for Gappmaier maybe a Berwick return could be on the cards especially if the likes of Sheffield would be tempted to sign him for their Premiership team as I am pretty sure he would start at reserve for them and does go well round Owlerton.

Welcome if unsurprising start to next seasons team. Unless he retires Kevin Doolan is bound to be in the team and bringing back Aaron Summers should be a no brainer though I`d like to see someone brought in above Aaron in the averages so he can be what he is, a very decent back up to a No1.

Dont feed the troll, much better left ignored.

Hopefully this move works out for Sheffield, best news of all probably is the club is now not for sale.

Berwick, Sheffield and Kent.
screm replied to poolebolton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As much as I like and respect CVS I think he`s been at Christmas sherry a tad early this year. Sheffield always get a mention at this time of year about the possibility of moving up, maybe if a new buyer for the Tigers has come forward and has expressed a desire to move up then it might happen now for 2020 season. At least geographically there would be sense in Kent moving up but it was only at the start of this season Len Silver was complaining about his rigid Monday night only from the local council, added to that the restrictions on their curfew, it would put a doubt in most peoples minds. As for Berwick both financially and geographically it would be suicide to move the club up, as most know they have been run on a tight budget and every penny counts. Of course they might be tempted by any money going on the new tv deal but even so I doubt Berwick`s current crowds is any where near the size needed to make top flight speedway viable in the town. Yes we have moved up before and look what happened then, different promotion, different circumstances but I fear the same result. -
Not for the first time, shocking attitude from Garrity. Why any team would bother with him for 2020 is beyond me.

Correct, Wales had at least two Rugby World Cup warm up matches during the summer months so a SGP then was a non starter to be honest. -

Can we wait until Poole are at least accepted.

Not so sure where this leaves the Premiership but the Championship will be great for Poole and Poole great for the Championship.

If the top league stick to their fixed race nights I would be doubtful Somerset would make the jump up.

Hardly special, probably only going for the free food as he likes a hand out.

Seems that 6 Berwick riders will be there plus a special guest appearance.

This is going to be a long long winter.

Meeting ending fireworks.

Seems SCB was at Cardiff last Saturday and judging by a video he has posted on social media was sat in the same section I was.

Any of the SGP in Poland have an excellent atmosphere, Torun with probably the best racing. The two newer ones Wroclaw and Warsaw were decent this season. Prague is definitely one to consider, racing not as good as Poland but the City is fantastic and never disappoints.

First time at Cardiff. As an event very impressive great stadium with facilities to match but on track racing I thought was generally poor. Atmosphere started off wonderful but dwindled through the night and by the end it was only the Polish fans that were making any real atmosphere. -

It's taken two planes and a bit of a delay but finally made it to Bristol. Highlight was definitely being a tad sarcastic with the Middlesbrough football team who were on our flight. Looking forward to seeing Cardiff and the SGP -

No reason to think Kevin Doolan wont be there, after that for the reason in your post its a bit of a lottery. Might end up with Kevin and Leon. -
I am sure this has asked before but can Stoke Speedway not move it's promotion to Buxton, maybe need a name change but at least speedway would continue in that part of the Country and I think I am right in saying the track at Buxton has been used during the summer

One wonders if it will be Craig Cook himself that pays for his fine.

Agree with you about the racing as it was exactly great, meeting also spoilt by an over officious referee would made some strange decisions. As for the dominance of the Polish riders it not something that's new and IMO will continue for some time yet, the other nations need to start producing their youngsters. As you say it looks like Denmark have got one or two coming through and I am liking what I see in Jan Kevech. Britain does have decent looking riders coming through at younger age levels, hopefully they will get the time and investment to make it.
