Surely common sense did prevail in that case though? No way Brennan was catching the Leicester pair in that first running. So why should he get another chance just because his teammate fell off?
Think King was a tad lucky there. I reckon he knew the Leicester pair were clear so he went down very easy. Evens up the Dan Thompson one though I suppose.
Shocking really, and shows how team riding is a lost art, especially internationally. Might have seen one, possibly two, attempts tonight at helping a partner, in 26 races.
I do think it’s a bit odd though that in the event of a tie there will be a runoff with the top scoring individual from each team, rather than it being team based still. Perhaps to cover the possibility of a three or four way tie though.
Hilarious to see riders celebrating the race win when their team has actually lost the race. It’s surely not that hard to understand the points system?!? Or are they still paid individually by the point?
To be fair that was a clear cockup by the young race director, they did absolutely the right thing to overlook it then. It would have been criminal to let the Pole get away with it though, he was faffing about for no good reason and deserved to go.
