  1. I think all of the bears, will have to be at the top of their game, to come out on top in this one. To be honest, I think a Worky win is the most likely outcome, especially if it is, one of those insipid performances, like Edinburgh and Ipswich. Overall though I think it will be a very good match.
  2. Glad you enjoyed your visit. We may not be lucky for much longer though. If the current performance levels prevail, I cannot see attendance levels, being sufficient, for survival. Hope I am wrong though. It seems that visiting fans and riders seem to enjoy themselves at Redcar.
  3. I fancy Lakeside, very strongly, but more so if Newman is riding. If he is not riding, then it is neck and neck with Pbro. It seems though, that every team, that is showing as a favourite, is then suffering a key injury, (Sheffield and Scunthorpe). I hope for every team, there are on further cases. Indeed, I hope Charles Wright and Jason Garrity recover to take part. Depending on which Glasgow team turn up, they could also, win this. Should be an entertaining event though.
  4. I believe the Gladders brothers, put the boot in on that one. They are bigger shareholders. Some perceived slight from years ago responsible and the reason for it. Havelock wanted Ged on board.
  5. Think with laydown engines, riding styles, have altered since then. Point taken though, Penhall, Gundersen, they all used to do it.
  6. His problem seems to be, he steps the back end of the bike out a little too far, throws a mini locker, which scrubs his speed off, coming out of the corner. Small margins, can make a big difference.
  7. Can't see anything other than a Pbro victory, could even be a 4 pointer. All the bottom 3 have had good meetings at Redcar, even Bacon.
  8. No to Hansen and Bellego, I doubt would fit, plus he rides some Thursday's with Swindon. The guy they should go for, is the young dane, Freddie Jacobson, but I doubt they could afford him.
  9. I don't think people, are misunderstanding, what you were saying. I think you are backtracking and changing your tune.
  10. I would settle, for getting our points at home. Tomorrow night, will be a big test of that. Lawson, Morris, Morley and Newman, all have great experience of Redcar and I don't expect Ellis and Wajnachkt to take long to get the hang of the place. It will be a close one.
  11. He can sign for another team, if that team, holds a sponsors licence.
  12. To be fair, Redcar are not going to win anything this season. They will not qualify for the play offs, but if we can win a few matches and gain some experience and improve down the stretch, then we will have to settle for that. Its a team with the future in mind, but not all the personnel will survive, ultimately. Ben Barker, looks to be trying his guts out, but he is under a lot of pressure and is missing a few starts. Hopefully that will come good.
  13. All of what you say , is true. Without Sheffields fallers, we would have been nowhere near 39 points. James Shanes, to my knowledge, has never been to Redcar before. Yet like most riders, he found it very much, to his liking and this applies to Todd Kurtz aswell, (I don't know anywhere he goes better). Its also a points return, from r/r, that would have been expected, had Josh Bates been riding. Friday is our off night and the result is that the atmosphere, always seems a bit flat. I did not meet anyone, who fancied Redcar to win. This is a development season for Redcar, hopefully in the future, much tougher contests will ensue
  14. Yeah its to counter, the wind and pi£s coming from your direction.
  15. Probably won't need to be. I think the weather might win this one.
  16. Think he is more likely to require flippers.
  17. Think Danny Phillips is a cert for the no7 slot
  18. I am sorry to have to say this, but what a total yawn this is. I come on, hoping to find something remotely interesting and this is what you get. Very tedious.
  19. To be honest, it was just about sustainable, on the 500s, we were getting, at the end of the Havelock era. Obviously sometimes it was more and sometimes it was less. Everything is so upbeat now, totally different, a breath of fresh air really.
  20. Sorrry Boz, but have to disagree with you about Ellis Perks. He has been slowly descending, since coming out of the reserve berth. His home form has slightly declined, but his away form has been poor and he hasn't ridden, at some of the tougher venues, (Sheffield 0 matches, Ipswich 0 matches Glasgow 1match, Newcastle 1 match ). Overall, I think his home form would have to be outstanding, to compensate for his away performances and it isn't. Riders I would be looking at in his role would be Jye Etheridge or Jacob Bukhave., or maybe Paul Starke if you were putting together a strength in depth team. To me, he just looked like he was going slowly backwards, but hey just my opinion.
  21. Have to agree with that, would also say "thanks but no thanks", to Ellis Perks and Danny Ayres. Purely my opinion on that.
  22. Actually, I thought the Monarchs, were a little unlucky, in this one. This should have been an even closer contest. Ricky Wells fall while leading and Erik Riss's ef whilst also leading did Embro no favours. Plus Pickering and Davey deserved better returns for their efforts. However, the Monarchs did benefit, from the tactical ride and Proctors fall in ht 13 which prevented a Bears 5 _ 1. The rerun yielded a Bears 4 _ 2. All in all a good speedway match.
