Don't know who does them, but if it is any consolation, there was definitely a camera there. -

Matt Tresarrieu will never ride for the current Redcar management. -
Konopka Dropped By Bears

It wouldn't be the first time at Redcar, that once a match was lost, that riders used in heat 15 were of the cheaper option. I am not saying that is the case here though, I know Lasse has machinery issues. -

CVS only sold 49%. I believe he still owns the actual track and pits, but of course only leases the land it is on. -

That hits the nail right on the head. -
Because if you keep attending, those in power will think everything, is hunky dory and keep on trotting out, the same old shi£e. That's why. The only way to get through to Havelock is to hit him in the pocket. I personally will go to Scunthorpe on Monday, where I know it will be a great meeting.

Redcar V Scunthorpe Thurs 16 April

Sadly this state of affairs, is mainly brought about by Havelock and the rest of the consortium. I would bet if you canvassed the stay away supporters (of which I am now one), the majority would say, it was due to the contempt shown to them by the management. It isn't a question of hanging in there, because with Havelock there, nothing will change. Under the present management, the quality of the product is nowhere near fit enough for consumption. In it's present guise losing the speedway would not be a total disaster, in fact it may have to happen. A good many people I know from there, think it may have to come to that. At today's prices the old chestnut, ( that some speedway is better than no speedway) does not hold. My own personal hope is that this management go and we get a "Pheonix effect" because there are interested parties out there. This club can definitely be run at a profit, it just needs managing with some imagination. -
I'm sorry to have to say it, but " racing was good value". There was passing in heats 1 and 2 (Clownopka screwed up) and in ht 11 (Clownopka screwed up again) and then that was it. All the other races were follow the leader, with all the shale gone and the track bone dry by the end of ht 5. If you enjoyed it great, but for me and many others, it was extremely forgettable and frustrating, when you think what it could have been.
-
Well that does it for me. I am sorry but I cannot watch that. I can take it that we do not have a very good team, I can take getting beaten, but I can not take that miserable excuse for entertainment. It is the track that really pees me off. We have potentially, one of the most exciting tracks in the country, but a bone dry, bald, super slick, road is produced. I do not blame the track curator's,(I think they just work to orders), it's the management I blame. So on that basis, that is the last £16 they are getting out of me. I honestly think Havelock and the Gladders brothers are killing the place. I have heard the argument many times, that some speedway is better than no speedway, well what I saw tonight was not speedway.

There's only ever one plan Ken. Get the cheapest side out, that you possibly can.
-
I would be very surprised, if Tomas Suchanek wasn't under consideration.
-
Well lets see who he can charm into coming then. I don't expect to be overwhelmed.
-
Think Havelock, needs to mount, a charm offensive to "woo" riders to Redcar. Well we know he can be "offensive", think its the "charm" bit he might struggle with.

Berwick V Redcar 30/08.2014 @ 7pm
sidewinder replied to screm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think you are missing the point. My reply was aimed at the previous poster, who was implying that Redcar knew, that Rich Lawson had signed for Lakeside before Redcar and also that the fixtures were known. Lawson signed for Redcar at the end of November / beginning of December 2013, long before the fixtures had come out. He became a Lakeside asset ( albeit dubious) at the end of February / beginning of March 2014. So it meant rather a lot then, but as the poster said this should never happen again. This is speedway, so undoubtedly it will. -

Sorry but I think you are dreaming there. It should be close and either team could sneak it, but the bears will not win with room to spare. Too many bandits, who go well around Redcar.
