  1. I stand on the start line and I can confirm, that he most definitely jumped in the first running of heat 2 and also in another heat with Hugh Skidmore in it.
  2. It certainly was. I asked for some shale and a bit of water, to go with it. Hey presto, what we got was entertainment. Speedway was the winner tonight.
  3. As a matter of fact, I do. No sitting on the fence there. I can see your viewpoint there and you can safely say, that I (and many others) are not happy with life at Redcar speedway. You can take the boy out of Worky, but you can never take Worky out of the boy. The truth always comes out.
  4. What are you lot on. You know Worky have an excellent chance of winning at Redcar. No doubt Stoney Legend will be shi££y ar$ing about their chances, before the meeting and then crowing afterwards if they win, also telling us how wonderful that Havelock chap is ( he might ask Richard Lawson's views on that). From my viewpoint, I would settle for an entertaining meeting, raced on a track, with a decent amount of shale and well watered, (so fat chance of that happening with cheapskate Havelock about). It will be the usual, bone dry, super slick motorway, so bring your gating gloves. Oh by the way we have lost our last two matches at home.
  5. This is a tough match, but one thing is certain it will be close. No team is favourite, its neck and neck, should go to the last heat and its who gets up for it on the night. STMP should hold no fears for the monarchs, with a lot of Redcar specialists, top of which is the Cookie monster. Lets hope for a good track and a safe meeting.
  6. It will come as no surprise, to most Redcar fans, that this has happened. The promoter is definitely a senility candidate and probably had one lucid moment and realised there was a clash of matches. Anyway back off to Gaga land.
  7. Even more likely, on Thursday at Redcar. Forecast is not very good.
  8. Sudden availability not a good enough reason. Are all guests gonna be booked, on the basis that it may be cancelled due to "sudden availability". That is one of the reasons the rule is there in place. Thanks.
  9. Nice try, but the key word is " necessary". Somerset have already applied for and received a facility (guest) for Morris. Ricky Wells (chosen guest) is fit and available to fulfil the booking, so therefore, any further changes are NOT necessary. That clause is to cover for any subsequent withdrawals, after team nomination.
  10. I don't know wether anybody noticed, but Ty Proctor, didn't have any EL commitments, last night. Oops! sorry Somerset sacked him.
  11. Apparently not once the team has been declared, it seems. That was the reason given tonight.
  12. This one should definitely, go to a last heat decider. Just wonder if Nick Morris comes back into the mix. Now that Swindon is off. That would give the Rebs, even more edge.
  13. Great meeting tonight. Keenly contested by 2 teams who " went for it" from start to finish. Track was great tonight. Only blip on the night, Ronnie Allens decision to exclude Crangy in ht2. It beggared belief, he was so blatantly knocked off.
  14. Definately have to agree with that. Carrying a few passengers and Rich, takes a lot of weight on his shoulders. Should be close though.
  15. What is reliable is that it was Richard Hall on the bike, who flattened a Scunthorpe rider, stood at the gate. I am not a scunny supporter, in fact I am a bears fan.
  16. I wonder, if anyone remembers an incident, in a Scunthorpe/Sheffield match, on August bank holiday Monday 2010. A bitterly fought contest, with many incidents. One which stands out in my memory, concerned Richard Hall. He had been involved in a crash, with another rider and I believe (if memory serves), he was excluded. On the way through the pits gate, was Viktor Bergstrom, (I think it was him), as RH came through he ran into Viktor, hitting him in the legs and he went down in a heap. From my view point directly behind, he changed direction, to deliberately make contact. On the evidence of what I saw, nothing would convince me otherwise. I could not believe more was not made of this at the time, it was one of the most cynical actions I have seen in 50 years of speedway. That is probably to the credit of the victim who did not make a big deal of the incident. Safe to say, I have never been a fan of RH ever since. I'd be amazed if nobody else saw it or remembered it.
  17. Got to say Abbott, the sight of Graham Trollope, riding around topless on a tractor, would not be a vista of beauty. Sorry forgot to add this
  18. This is not the team, that Havelock chose, (that included Kozza Smith), but after other targets, did not come to fruition, this is the side that has been dealt to him. As far as Kozza goes, I for one do not blame him, for not wanting to come all that way, ( with his family), for such limited opportunities. He would have been massively out of pocket.
  19. I think it might be an issue for Wilko or Grav, I would like to scrap you off this forum, but its not gonna happen. Lets give this team a chance and play with what has been dealt. Like poker, if it isn't working you get a chance, to change a couple of cards.
