  1. You would think that the Bears management, would have learned from the experiences of previous Bears managements. When they sacked Justin Sedgemen, before the meeting started (at home to Scunthorpe I think ). Then were surprised when he tootled round for 3 fat zero's.
  2. Sadly a bit of a ramshackle side to face a powerful Sheffield line up. For me Tigers by at least 20 points. With Anderson, Busch and Perks, it might have been a much closer match.
  3. A very accurate and succinct post, with no punches pulled. I believe the Diamonds management were a bit complacent, expecting to be in the mix, right to the end, but on winning the toss and not grabbing the match by the scruff of the neck, with gate positions. They made a big error, (easy with hindsight, I know ).
  4. Heard last night that it wasn't true. Garcia's ashtec engine's had.nt arrived yet. Actually, I thought the pivotal point of the meeting, was heat 11. When Ben Barker, rode his nuts off, to keep Danny King out. With King and Schlien in hts 13 & 15, against Garrity & Barker (2 titanic tussles) anything could have happened.
  5. Yes as you have always said and always been wrong. The inside line into bends 1 and 2, has never been altered, since Brian Havelock installed the kerb in March 2007. I don't care what some journo said in Speedway Star, to get his column inches in, it never happened. Do you know Glyn Taylor, well I do and I asked him about it the last time I saw him. He said he never got round to doing it. Incidentally there is an outside line, around bends 1and 2 and plenty of riders found it, Danny King for a start.
  6. With Jonas B Anderson out injured and Eddie K in, that should swing the match in Rye's favour.
  7. Might not be so easy tomorrow night though. It depends how helpful Bjerre is to the Bears cause.
  8. I'll give you a simplistic answer, forget about the riders demands, (unless they are prepared to ride for nothing) and think more about, the paying spectators demands. Then maybe, the lack of cash problem will diminish. Speedway is in the entertainment business, so like HT say's he wants entertaining. That doesn't mean deep tracks, it means riding on graded tracks, with the shale pulled back. In the Edinburgh match (not that entertaining), the slick line developed very quickly (with blue groove in evidence), the outside built up with shale, which became so deep it was useless to go into it. Bjerre and Bellego found that out to their cost when they got forced into it and came off. All that meant a one line track and follow the leader racing. Sorry but that's not great speedway and I fear it was a contributing factor, in the bears defeat. Speedway will die if it follows your apathetic view.
  9. Sorry Paulco, but I don't expect the Tiggers, to underperform again and gift the Bears points, this time.
  10. I have to say HT, I feel for you and any other speedway fans. Who wasted, time and money, attending this. It totally shows up, Redcar's incompetent and embarrassing promotion and the contempt, with which they show, speedway supporters in general. I no longer go, but live for the day, when Havelock is no longer involved and then I can go back again.
  11. I fancy Compton to get a berth at Scunny, when Klindt leaves and Holub has a proper average.
  12. As I understand it / was told, Matej was at Havelock's house and told him, he wasn't riding in Britain, because he was riding in Sweden. Then 15 minutes after Kus left he got a call from George English asking to take him on loan. Now I'm sorry but you don't need to live next to a sewage plant to know when something stinks. He's been " tapped up" apparently with a big deal from one of Newcastle's major sponsors, so please don't try and take any moral high ground, there isn't any. Sweden strangely, has not materialised. Much as I cannot stand Havelock, I cannot blame him for getting the hump, over what has happened here.
  13. Think that even to Havelock, it must now be obvious, that Matej does not want to ride for him. He has to start and show some initiative, for once and go out and try and find a rider, who knows maybe two. Instead of sitting back and waiting for riders to contact him.
  14. Yep sounds about right. Classic Havelock.
  15. I don't think Huckenbeck can be a 5, as he has raced Polish league with Polonia Pila in 2014, do;nt know wether he was involved in Poland last year though.
  16. If he gates, he can certainly win races around there.
  17. Only problem I can see with Rosen is if he rides in the Alsvenskan league on a Thursday. Mind you I don't think Tungate and Heeps will be coming to Redcar, but I hope I'm wrong.
  18. I think a lot of Redcar fans will go, because it promises to be a fantastic meeting. I for one will certainly be there.
  19. All of the four teams, in the final, have a realistic chance of winning it at Redcar. Okay so maybe Newcastle will be underdogs and maybe Edinburgh are slight favourites, the difference between all four teams, is not huge. I would like to point out, that every rider in the main body of the team, has some pedigree around the PMA. So it will come down to which team wants it and rises to the occasion. I think it will develop into a very tight exciting meeting.
  20. As you probably know Ian, Redcar can run on any night (or day for that matter). So for it to be run on a Thursday night, probably means, there are other factors coming into play.
  21. Excellent meeting, great entertainment. The track was very good tonight, the MPA was close to its best again ( but not quite). The devils definitely deserved a point ( if not more). Fine margins between success and failure.
  22. This will be a tight one. Most of the Plymouth boys go well around Redcar, certainly Risager is no slouch, as are also Kurtz and Simota. Looking at it the devils have no weak links and I think a last heat decider might be on. Lady luck may also play a part.
