Buster isn't stupid, he knows how long you have at the Showground, and what the club is worth in this state. It's not worth much, unless it has a future. MT probably won't pay anything until he has a guaranteed site for it. The value of the club goes up if another site is found and Peterborough Panthers continue. My guess is MT wont buy it until he has a site, which i thought he said he did? Nothing Buster can do if that is the case. I'm sure he don't want/need the crap hes's been getting along with the stress it brings. But that depends on what he's selling and why he's asking X amount

I don't think Buster is asking to much, whatever that is, i don't know. But given he knows the situation you are in, and has been around the block a bit where speedway is concerned, i don't think he would want a fortune. My guess would be that MT don't want to buy if yet, even for cheap. Not without a new venue. I read he had brought a 26 acre site, but who knows. He's been as quiet as Buster on the situation. A statement from either on the subject would be nice.
Daniel Smith
10 minutes ago, Flappy said: But that depends on what he's selling and why he's asking X amount Do you & all fans still want to be the "Peterborough Panthers"? The price is irrelevant, to remain as the "Panthers" you have to give Buster what he wants. There's no if, buts or maybes. He can maintain that licence for 10yrs if he wishes until it's paid for. MT can find a new track after the Showground closes but you cannot be called "Peterborough Panthers". Buster can also challenge the opening of a new track while he holds the licence for the town of Peterborough. You may have to go outside the City & be something like March Monsters or something.
Flappy
There's riders out there willing to ride in this league but certain people refuse to sign them. Holder being a complete co*k wasn't Busters fault. And trying to get him in the team was MT's fault, trying to run before he could walk imo. Your 18 point maximum man apparently wont come back after 100 yards on track. If NP had bagged 10-12 points in that meeting no one would want Holder over NP. Buster deserved some credit for getting NP in imho. I bet it's not Buster who has told him not to return.. It will be his Polish club or NP, or a bit of both.

Pedersen and Holder would quite likely have been in the team together Edited April 9, 2023 by Flappy

Club communication with it's fan base doesn't come at a cost. It is because the only professionals in the sport (in the UK) are the riders... The rest are well intentioned amateurs doing their best to appear professional, but often without the necessary skill set required to carry off the tasks they have been asked to do/volunteered to do.. The professional marketing of the sport as a collective, rather than going it alone at each club in a small way, and the governance of the sport through the use of a credible operating model, is, sadly, a huge opportunity never taken up by those "well meaning amatuers". Hence, being insular, working in secret, and deep mistrust is often the reputation earned in the opinion of many of it's current, fanbase, and (probably more importantly), its ex fanbase, who still follow the sport closely...
