Peterborough Panthers 2023

What a shambles.

As if we didn’t know, some minor league polish club calls the shots on where and when “their riders “ can ride.

British “promoters” cannot be arsed to let their supporters know what is going on…. Indeed if they are actually bovvered?.?

How long before Danny Budeley is banned from riding for BV ?

Still only a few more meetings and Pboro will join the growing list of defunct tracks.

Time too reach into the pockets and get Kenneth Bjerre back (tho I can’t see it after comments buster made several seasons ago regarding the caliber of rider Kenny is… he’s not a heat leader, comes too Peterborough with belle vue and scores a 15point max)

If the management have any sense at all which seemingly they don’t, they’d pull out the stops and get a crowd pleaser back, someone like buzz or Bjerre. Instead it’ll be some rubbish like KK…. Oh he’s better suited to the showground than the AFA. It’s bullsh*t. I did a few experience days at Lynn before so I may aswell have a go.

In 2 seasons we’ve become the joke of speedway. Disregard for supporters totally and it’s a joke. Expected to part with £22 a meeting plus extras when the club can’t even be arsed to publish a proper press release, and you’ll get the ‘use it or lose it’ comments, but the p*ss has truly been taken. Tomlin looks an idiot atm, something needs sorting NOW. Using the forecast for tomorrows postponement is half an excuse aswell.

How on earth can you possibly go from the brilliance of 2021 to this p*ss and drivel state we are in now…. Pathetic

Real shame that pedersen had quit. I like him and am surprised he's decided to let all the fans down having only had one go. Falls are part of speedway.

If his Polish club tells him not to ride over here then what's he ment to do, keep riding here for the alleged 3.5k a meeting and lose his Polish contact, you can guarantee his earnings in Poland dwarf what he would get riding back in the UK plus he's no doubt gotta mega signing on fee with his Polish team, not saying it's right or wrong but money talks.

They wouldn't drop him, he scores too many points and their fans would lynch them. If they did another club would dangle even more money.

Unless things have changed since Saturday my understanding is that Peterborough plan to resubmit their team on Tuesday morning to be effective from the meeting at Leicester on Thursday. Plans were in place for equipment to be driven over to UK from Poland Sunday

However I now read on here that Peterborough do not have any visa sponsorship licenses so this may have all changed over the weekend.

I see that some people have been questioning why GRU in Poland have not been tough on Max Fricke as well as Nicki, Simple answer is they know they can’t as the PZM do not have the same agreement with MA that they do with DMU with regards to start permissions .

Also Max likes to live in the UK with his girlfriend so a condition of his entry to stay in UK is his working visa so needs to be riding here to live here

Never know, The higher ups may have given us a handout in the best interests of the sport.

Whatever the outcome of all this, it doesn't paint a very rosy picture of Peterborough speedway.  I honestly thought we were a well run club with a professional management structure, but now I have my doubts !

Power struggle currently that needs sorting

So

from what ive heard, new number one has agreed to sign in place of np

not sure about the visa thing, but should all go through soon, think this is why nothing has been announced about nicki, until new rider was secured.

Previously riden in the uk, think everyone will be more than happy .

hope so - something needs to happen quickly

I'm just guessing but if we can only sign a rider on a ACU license then our only options would be - C. Holder, Woffy and Lambert.

Woffy bashes British Speedway on social media so it would be a shock if he decided to take part in it, Buster has already refused to sign Holder so it only leaves Lambert.

Lambert 8-10 meetings as a stop gap for 5k a night (40k-50k total outlay) until the club gets another VISA or VISAS to use that allows us to sign a different rider or riders from Europe who are less expensive.

I'd imagine that going down well with Lynn fans;)

Might not even happen, It's pure guess work from me but yes it wouldn't go down well with KL fans if it did happen considering they're on the lookout for a rider / riders.

Not really Peterborough's fault though that Pedersen has wimped off.
