But when options are sparse, I personally would sign him and IF things take a turn for the worse and he goes awol, deal with that if and when it happened. The bloke is a 9 pointer in the Championship and has started this season very well. He’s a sub 5 in the Premiership and in my opinion is excellent value for that. I’d take him as a short term replacement for Riss at Ipswich without any hesitation. The only way I’d think of including him in the side was If it was at reserve, replacing Andersen with Cook changes nothing in the grand scheme in my opinion. It is what it is unfortunately and what it is is a sad state of affairs

If we're looking at the future and Ben will stay loyal I get why we'd do it but then you need to make at least 3 changes in the main body of the team

I’m glad we still have a club to support but serious questions should be asked over the point of it all when said owner knows he’s tracking a weak team to prop up the table. Just don’t understand it personally. I think you have bigger fish to fry at the moment than winning speedway matches. If your club does not survive into the future you'll not be winning Speedway matches again for a very long time

Having had 3 of the clubs I supported close over the years, I wouldn't wish it on any one. Not calling for the club to close just because we're losing, I'm saying we may as well shut the place down if Buster isn't willing to put some effort in. Buster simply refuses to sign a replacement by putting obstacles in the way whether it's financial, personal grudges etc. Buster isn't a team player and he doesn't put the club first because he's not listening to his work colleagues when it comes to the team and they're now getting fed up with him. Buster isn't showing any respect to the fans who've supported the club way before he stepped foot in the place. List never ends.

Yes, but there's hardly a queue of people lining up to buy the club is there... The Ford's can't even unload Poole! And riders aren't exactly queuing up to ride in the UK either, how much would you be willing to pay as an entrance fee to see a signing like Zmarzlik, Janowski, Vaculik or any GP No 1? £30? £40? It's simple economics, because even if you were... they'll be 5 or 6 others that won't. Nicki P has let you (and Buster) down badly, I can't see how you think Buster hasn't shown you respect, I remember him on the PA last year (I think) and he was most respectful about the clubs supporters and staff... he paid you the ultimate respect by saving your club when nobody else wanted to.

All we need is one person willing to buy the club thought and that's what we've currently got.

Currently, Ben Cook isn’t anywhere near Craig Cook that’s a simple fact. Yeah you kinda do, stats don't tell the whole story. So why does no one want Craig Cook in the Prem then, maybe he isn't worth the hassle? He is just a British KK imo.

chrismorton
All we want to hear for our club is a positive snippet of information to go on.. whether it be team news or future plans but there is nothing...just absolute radio silence and that press release they did where they threw it on the end of the Nicki P announcement was a PR disaster that speaks volumes for the dignity of the people who are at the helm imo. LOL nobody has to watch them to know that Craig Cook is a better rider than Ben Cook. Your bias towards anything related to Poole is literally off the scale and the reason anything you post regarding them can’t be taken seriously. 1

The Peterborough ownership or prospective ownership need to be clear about what their plans are Are they in contact with the Council and the Showground owners about enforcing the requirements of the Local Plan? What response have they had? Is there a potential stay of execution at the Showground? Will the developers be held to the Local Plan and have to provide an alternative site before planning permission is approved? All of that might well prevent a £1m investment being required. If MT is a savvy businessman he will know that - but he needs to keep fans informed, if only in outline. If no communication is forthcoming and results continue the way they are so far this season fewer people will attend, losses (both on the track and financially) will build and the club could become unviable.
