Yes, and because they have a facility they can use any 2.00 CL rider as a guest. If they didn't have a facility, they'd be limited to using someone who is in NDL only.

Mr Blobby Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM That’s Polis now decided that British speedway isn’t for him. Was always a risk that’s unfortunately not paid off as very talented rider. Now on the hunt for 2 riders potentially more depending on what way we want to go. The days we could build a team capable of challenging are long gone. Grahn should be at no 2 but they flung him in the no 3 spot due to Kye struggling. Sedgy obviously is struggling to ride Thursday / Friday with his wrist issues. We have 3 riders on what I would call inflated averages Kye, Sedgy and Castagna. We don't have a number one. Thank goodness for Victor.
Jaizer Posted yesterday at 02:18 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 02:18 PM Always the risk with a polish rider. I suggest his club might have been adding a bit of pressure much like Marcin couple years ago. Whose available? Ablitt, Pearson, borke, Lambert soon potentially? Not exactly game changers

Not exactly game changers Can't see Ablitt doing it unless Friday is better for him than a Saturday. Unless they do two changes and have slightly weaker than Polis and have higher than a 2 pointer. Real shame as he looked good in the meetings I saw him in. Unless they pull a miraculous signing I can't see Edinburgh even finish 8th especially when Victor gets his real average. screm Posted yesterday at 03:12 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:12 PM Edinburgh may need to make more than one change to get a competitive team.

cyclone
Given our Friday race days and the known availability problems of Polish riders already contracted to their homeland clubs at weekends, not a surprise that the Polis signing backfired. Next week's KO Cup matches against Worky could determine whether Monarchs miserable run of results continues the downward spiral. Therefore let's hope there's positive moves to replace the deserting Polis before Friday.

The club says every year that they aim to build competitive teams. I’m not sure what’s wrong with that. Beyond some good natured derby ribbing I wouldn’t say either Scottish side gets too big for their boots as I think you’re implying?

I could be wrong, and please correct me if I am, but the ethos of the Monarchs has always been to build a competitive team but also one that may take time to grow into a season. As you say, nothing wrong with that. We gambled this year in quite an exciting way and it hasn't paid off this time. It's such a shame because with Oskar, Victor and Justin it would have made for a competitive season.
