I think Joe or Nathan Ablitt are the best options available but have a feeling that  Bomber will convince Kings Lynn to give Ashton more time .

i think probably would do Ashton good to ride NDL instead of Premiership to get some confidence back

Some people say the same about Sam Hagon, buy which NL/NT clubs have room for a 10+ rider with such a low points limit.

Also is Ashton eligible? Didn't ride last year & has a Champ ave above 4.00

Ashton is fine if he gates, he can beat heatleaders but he is afraid to mix it on the first bend often coming out last then trails well behind with lack of interest.

He's not going to improve in my opinion, I think he will realise that for himself soon.

Get off the kids back he still learning and rember how long he has been riding rember how Dan Bewley started ?

Here here!

Ashton, Tate & Norick are the three youngest riders in the top league and all three have been called out recently. People need to give their head a wobble.

I'm not on anyone's back and age doesn't have anything to do with it - some riders have been top stars when younger than Boughen and others novices in their late 20s (John Louis for one).  He's been riding bikes since he was three and has travelled the world doing it so I'd have expected faster progress if was destined for greatness.  The forum is great as it allows opinion & I've given mine - of course it could turn out to be an incorrect forecast, nothing is certain.

And Bewley now is still very tentative when going into the bend behind anybody he doesn't do the dive bomb puts left leg out as a brake.Im guessing when he had his big off at Workington he clipped a back wheel.

To Speedway from motorcross is  a massive difference.

Not shutting off going into first bend. Dan was throttle happy, and it’s paid off

probably the best other bike sport to come into speedway from, the balance and throttle control teaches a lot in MX

We need a new rising star (probably Luke Harrison)… and we need a number 1 in an ideal world, but we don’t live in an ideal world unfortunately 🤷🏻‍♂️

If we lose against the Brummies on Monday then I won’t be going as much anymore, if not at all

Bomber worries me lately.I'm not saying replace him btw. Since hes been at 1 ( i know he's not one), but he has scored 3, 3, 4 so far. His away form is a worry as well. Averaged 4.2 from 4 meetings, 2 of those whilst at reserve. He must be having some sort of problems i guess.

Expecting far too much of Bomber he’s not a number one any more  remember how old he is as well - same with Iversen both good second strings or at best 3rd heat leader . As for how to improve the side I’ve no idea anyone that wants to race in the UK is already here so it’s carry on with the riders we have other than maybe swap the R/S but would they be any better ?Play offs are more or less gone so let’s concentrate on getting 5th place which we should do

Yeah he’s worrying me too, I didn’t expect him to be scoring maximums at number 1 but I expected him to be scoring a little more than he is doing… but yeah, I’m not saying get rid of him either, he’s not the one I’d drop if we could get a number 1

I’m not expecting Bomber to be scoring maximums at number 1, but I at least expected him to score at least his average (6) in every meeting at 1 🤷🏻‍♂️ not 2-4 points!

but he’s not the one I’d drop anyway if we could somehow get a proper number 1 (which is unlikely)

If I’m brutally honest, NKI, Klindt and Boughen have to go. Iversen is so far over the hill now it’s a joke, and Klindt is quickly following him. Boughen, just doesn’t cut it, meetings aren’t won or lost as the RS position, but him cutting off instead of mixing it at the 1st corner isn’t doing him any good either.

1. 8.00 rider (if one makes themselves available)

2. 6.00 rider (ideally someone young, who is hungry and not just going through the motions)

3. C Harris - 6.5

4. B Cook (when fit) - 6.13

5. R Lawson - 6.76

6. J Kvech - 6.1

7. L Harrison

Total - 39.49

How can you call Iversen "over the hill" yet want to continue with Harris 🤣

They're both 42 🤪

I’m aware they’re the same age, but realistically do you think if Iversen was at reserve like Harris was he would’ve been banging in the same number of points?
