If he has a proper No. 1 ahead of him then yes, keep him. Keep Cook if there’s a way he can be No. 2 or No. 4. Although I fear with his lowered average he’ll be back at BV. Klindt is guaranteed because he has a testimonial at Lynn next year. I think they’ll start the season with Harrison and then when Cooper Rushen turns 16 he’ll be the Rising Star. IMO the team only needs 2 changes - an out-and-out No. 1 and then a weaker reserve than we’ve had this year. (Following team is based on current averages): 1. 8.0 rider - Lambert? (7.8) Or someone else 2. N Klindt - 6.46 3. C Harris - 6.82 (6.65) 4. R Lawson - 6.8 (6.63) 5. J Kvech - 6.82 6. A Rowe - 5.55 (5.41) 7. L Harrison / C Rushen - RS Team total - 40.45 (39.77)

Albeit, he's not served 10 years at a single club, he has given 17 years to this country. Also, his commitment to Kings Lynn, as it probably is for any club he rides for, is deserving. He has earned the Captains armband, for his presence both when things are going well, but also he's not afraid to front up when the team, or even himself, have had a bad night. For 2026, would I take him back? Yes i would. Those awful Witches look like they will be in or around winning the title, and these are the starting and current rolling averages. Jason Doyle 9.36 8.42 Emil Sajfutdinow 9.12 8.38 Tom Brennan 6.52 7.09 Danny King 6.14 6.64 Adam Ellis 5.47 5.88 Dan Thompson 3.11 5.42 For Nicolai to be effective, he needs to have a top 2 above him, dare I say a Lambert and Kvech, a couple of riders to take the pressure off him. He can then Captain and ride with freedom, and I can still honestly see him putting something on his current 6.42. We need 3/4 riders who will improve from 2025 to 2026, and a number 1, whoever that may be. A strong number 6 has worked to an extent this season, and maybe a fit Ben Cook would still see us challenging for a PO spot, but I don't think we are that far away. I’d be happy with that Ipswich team if the regs stay the same which I think is unlikely.

Musielak, Zagar and Rew all over 6 for new averages. Jepsen Jensen was also. Although the relevance of the question I’m not sure is what? Lawson IS a 6 point rider, check his average for September. I thought he’d come in as a new assessed rider as he hasn’t ridden here permanently since 2019 (barring the 6 meetings you pointed out in your post in 2023). Who knows, they change the regulations at their own will anyway…

Daniel Smith
If King's Lynn can get a win vs Sheffield (weather pending) I think, overall, the club can hold it's head up high to finish on 30 points. When you look at the Belle Vue septet, it's not a bad effort. The difference between the 2 clubs is clearly heatleaders. If the Premiership survive for 2026, it's an absolute must King's Lynn employs an 8.00+ No1

That home defeat to BV was damaging, as was the away defeat when we lost by 6 without Jan Kvech at reserve. If we had picked up the points from these, we would be heading into the Sheffield fixture 2 behind BV. Also, that defeat at Brum when Jan and Ben pulled out. I'm sure everybody has had there fair share of bad luck but this is from our persepctive.
