But your attempt at sarcasm has been noted.

He has an average 3pts higher than Perry in the NDL In only his 1st season of racing. It was always going to be tough for Glasgow with two young reserves who didn't pull up too many trees the season before. Fair play to Hodder In the 2nd half of the season he has come on leaps and bounds, as showed last night in beating Cairns twice. Unfortunately Perry has shown no progress imo and is out of his depth. Regarding who can replace him. It's a tough one as barring Tom Spencer. Perry has the lowest average in the league. Which proves does it not, that for all what Vatcher raves on about. Their are not too many young English riders coming through at this moment in time. We have no one imo who could replace Perry, regardless how poor he has been riding. GoGoDaz
Nagel is having a tremendous season for someone so young and is so exciting to watch. His high scoring makes his absence, or having an off form rider, more noticeable in close matches as our track is so popular with the visitors - who've by and large kept most meetings close. Unfortunately 😜 There's no disrespect intended to Max or Freddy, who have provided vital points that have sealed wins for us over the year. Both have been trying very hard with scant reward some nights. I'd expect one or both to be an option again next year for us. Think they've both learned a lot and I think they'll push on next season if they both stay. But Nagel is in demand, he's been involved in individual and national honours (as well as various team ones) which he'll potentially be swayed by. Ideally we see him back on Friday and our season lasts a bit longer. Thoroughly enjoyed our racing this season whatever happens, but would absolutely love us winning the league title if we can get the results needed. Should fear no-one with our full side.

Personally don’t see why they signed Perry.Hodder was signed on 1 good guest appearance ( never really improved with Berwick last season). Hodder is showing signs of improvement though( main at home).

It’s not a like-for-like replacement; it’s deeper than that. We took a risk when building this team and while it may still work, it’s cost us several times this season. We’re top heavy and that isn’t Max Perry or Freddy Hodder’s fault, but unless our top five are firing on all cylinders- which hasn’t happened on several occasions - then there’s more pressure on those two teenagers to deliver, especially the one riding at number six. Perry and Hodder have had a tough gig this season, but they should be proud. Next season, keep Hodder and compliment him with a stronger reserve.

I was responding to colsimmo’s remark that Perry should have been replaced at the start of the “league” fixtures, which at that point would have been like for like.

This was always going to be a problem, especially when you were also putting a lot of faith in Boughe having to ride in the main body of the team. If you could have started with Boughen at resrve :"I know team averages" But an experienced No2 could have made such a difference to your campaign with Boughen and Hodder down at reserve.
