An eventful, at times stressful, at times farcical and at times enjoyable experience! A huge thanks to the small but loyal Brummie fanbase that put up with season after season of under performing teams, you deserved better! Full credit and my upmost respect to Nigel Tolley, he wasn't far short with the figures he quoted in the recent speedway star interview with what he invested in the club (there was also a six figure investment from other shareholders during the period I must add). Nigel is as mad as a (top) hatter, but I really like the guy. My only criticism of him (and he knows this, I told him enough times) is that he allowed himself to be influenced by others who failed to deliver for the club! Seeing the day to day finances and operations of the a Championship and then Premiership club is a real eye opener, so a massive thanks to Financial Director Tracey Smith, who somehow managed to juggle the finances to keep everyone happy (most of the time) a truly lovely lady, she has been the glue in a massively disjointed operation, which would have fallen apart without her. Some priceless moments over the 4 years on the management zoom meetings / race nights - I could write a book! You also learn a lot about riders, some smashing chaps around Paco Castagna (legend) Freddie Lindgren, Tobi M, Leon Flint, Sam Hagon, Jason Edwards, Thompson twins all really good guys! No comment about some mind Made some great friends, I will miss Guesty, Dave Rowe, Pete & Dan Ballinger, Chris Adams, the guys and girls from the supporters club and fellow shareholders Steven, Jake and Vic. Such a shame that Birmingham Speedway is no more, but without Nigel it wouldn't have got into 2023 let alone 2025 and for that alone he deserves the respect of those who knock him! Give us a B.....! Cheers Paul You should write that book !!

Don't think his list about who he does or doesn't like? It's about his experience at the Club? ( i could be wrong) To leave people off is a polite way of saying what all Brummie fans with half a brain know already! H Man has closed his chapter with dignity!

There were many others who put hours of their time and energy into birmingham speedway who have now walked away also with dignity quietly.

Not too sure if he's in trouble as the bookies round Stoke of his seem to be closing as well, maybe he's just concentrating on the Welsh side of the business. heathen52
This could be an ideal site if the Rugby club could be persuaded that the noise issue is not a problem, especially as the site is next to the M42. https://www.beesrugby.com/ https://www.google.com/maps/place/52°21'11.8"N+1°52'37.2"W/@52.3532778,-1.877,506m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m4!3m3!8m2!3d52.3532778!4d-1.877?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDkwMy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

Son of Shaleman
Lame ending on track for Brummies with the Bulls at Iwade this afternoon. Thank goodness for guest Ryan Ingram. Doubtful if some of their team should have taken part in a match where people paid to watch.

So what would your thoughts be ? for sure it has not changed much except for the M42, the Rugby Clubhouse straight in front of you is probably still the same one as back then. Anyone out there, especially old fartz looking for something to do this Saturday evening why not take a look https://www.boringoldfartz.co.uk/ The Bikers Club house is on the right at The Portway and for £2 what's not to like ?. Riders need time to develop. The riders you saw are developing and can only get better by being given and taking their chances when they come. Yesterday you didn't see 4 birmingham riders because of various reasons (injury grasstrack working etc). I believe the riders you refer to , were due to guest for Kent last week at Plymouth until it rained. I'm afraid if you want to see the finished article, you were at the wrong meeting.
