Somehow they’ll manage to fit everyone in again. Manipulate the system to get a rider who graduated out of the RS system in ‘24 back into it for ‘25. Probably next year will manage to slip D Thompson back into the RS scheme.

Ahh so that’s pure saltiness now coming from Belle Vue, strangely Leicester, and now rather predictably, Lynn. And we’ve won absolutely nothing yet 🙄

They’ve manipulated nothing. Jenkins met the qualifying criteria again this yeah that all of the clubs set. Don’t be annoyed that others can build good teams whilst your own team is clearly quite crap at it.

exactly, but the way you're all talking there is no point in running the league this year as its such a foregone conclusion.

Yet again you’re talking utter b0llocks. Show me a quote from one Ipswich fan that has said that 🙄

In fact, it’s been the polar opposite

You’re way off I’m afraid and it’s coming across as very bitter. You’ve had the likes of Mike the Belle Vue fan predicting 30-60 away wins which is totally unrealistic likewise comments from fans of other clubs. All I’ve seen on this forum from Ipswich supporters is an acknowledgement that we are the favourites on paper (which we are there’s no getting away from it), but stopping short of saying we’re going to win everything. Only a fool would say that after last year and the nature of this sport.

Quite agree. We’re all well aware that things can go wrong after last season.

So far this season the current reserves have been a major influence on the results while the top 2 get going.

We have just used the regulations & yes we have benefited from the Brit reduction, but we have built with 5 Brits.

Other had the same rules to work with but chose other routes.

Lets be honest whatever the regulations are Lynn historically build teams to challenge for last place 😂

You mean heat 13.

Bend 2 lap 1.

Is that all you’ve got?

Meanwhile, the witch tracks down his mate……..

Witch: Look, I don’t think I got my point across. It’s the fact that Belle ‘chequebook’ Vue signed a GP rider to gain success.

Mate: Wait a minute, the seasons over he could only have ridden 3-4 meetings.

Witch: Yes, splashing the cash, can’t stand ‘em.

Mate: But Ipswich spent money on 2 GP superstars, one an ex world champion for the WHOLE season.

Witch: Ones not a GP star now, that’s how we got him.

Mate: You’d be better off focusing on the fact that moneybags Belle Vue cherrypicked their own GP star. How is Max by the way?

Witch: They actually signed him on a 4.50 averaged and he blossomed into a GP star whilst with them.

Mate: OK bad example, any other GP stars they’ve bought in like you guys?

Witch : Well no, they did the same with Brady and Dan Bewley.

Mate: Right, sounds like a good way of doing things, if you don’t mind me saying.

Witch : I do mind.

Mate: You have Tom Brennan, you looked after him from being a youngster.

Witch: That was another club. We don’t need to talk about Tom.

Mate: I’ve heard of Bewley, how did they get him?

Witch: He started with their junior team.

Mate: Junior team, what’s that?

Witch: Doesn’t matter.

Mate: I know about your junior GP. I bet Belle Vue don’t have anything like that.

Witch : Look, I said it doesn’t matter.

Mate: OK, you’re not even paying attention now anyway, you’re just playing on your phone. Are you trolling the socials again?

Witch exits stage left.

spot on the truth hurts doesn't it 🤣

One injury can change everything and as we know in Speedway you need a lot of luck to stay injury free throughout the season.

What people are saying (Myself included) is that Ipswich will win the title if injuries don't strike because it's clearly the best team on paper, Jason Crump basically said this on the Premiership Press Day as well.

Torun withdrawing Emil Sayfutdinov's starting permission in the UK is another bullet that Ipswich have to dodge on route to success.

If they avoid both of those scenario's then they'll win the league for sure imo, But if they don't avoid both of them then it's all to play for as it brings Ipswich, Belle Vue and Sheffield closer together in a more even playing field.

Peter Schroeck has said this evening that Peter Kildemand is unlikely to be riding for Oxford tomorrow night.

Probably not to be seen again.

Just been reviewing my updates from the meeting.

Two passes in heats 2 & 3 down to rider error.

Genuine passes:

H6 - 1

H8 - 4

H11 -1

H13 -1

H15 - 1

Discuss

All bend 2 except heat 8 which was the only genuine decent race. If you enjoy that kind of meeting, fair play to you. I don’t like seeing things settled after 5-6 seconds.

Very true and very brave of you to point it out on here. Excellent.

Ipswich haven't broken any rules, they used them to their advantage. They've out together a superb team and it's highly likely that they'll win the league - and no one would begrudge them that.

However the playoffs are different and it can come down to injured riders, riders out of form, overseas commitments and momentum. Speedway by it's very nature, isn't predictable in the long term, that's why we love it.

myself have seen nothing from ipswich that suggest they will walk the league, there was some mitigating circumstances that resulted in our drubbing. but they are sorted now, next time witches face us we will be a different animal.
