Might split the potential audiences They've got to run the fixture at some point, preferably sooner rather than later. Can't keep avoiding dates to suit others.
H20
What is the Comets fans view on here of the currant start time because I'm sure the promotion have never asked, if they have I've missed it. Riding on a Saturday afternoon is not bringing in the fan numbers that used to go to Derwent park on a Saturday night, I realise they do not have floodlights but even a 6pm start time would not require any floodlights. It is much easier to attend on a Saturday evening I think most events are a Saturday Weddings, local events, football and people actually at work who can not attend. I'd certainly look at it because this set up deserves more there watching espesially since we have lost speedway once before we do not want that happening again. A 6pm start is due to be trialled in June, Andrew was telling people of this during the meet the riders night in the Waverley 👍 Let's see how it goes.

Which year at Derwent Park, the last few years at Derwent Park the crowd levels had dipped to a low level I believe.

Am wondering if "portable" floodlights are still available for hire ? Seem to recall that Armadale used to have them when they first started in late 90s. Clearly a hire cost would be involved but if it resulted in more folks attending on Saturday evenings it may well be justified. Just a thought. Glasgow used portable lights during the ill fated spell at Derwemt Pk.
