Have you seen the forecast for Workington on Saturday

I've only just realised they have changed the start time to the Redcar meeting, I was planning on traveling through for the Workington Reds game then walk over for the speedway. To change for the World Cup meeting on TV has anyone seen the team GB have out after Dan confirmed he was not riding ? Team GB will be well back in 4th place with the new team format.

Why do we have to get information so important put out through Cumbria Crack and not through the clubs own channels ? Something as serious as not running next year should not come out in a Cumbria Crack post. Some honest talking from James but surely this should come from Andrew

Some great points made there. Cook signing was definately a huge mistake and let us down, as predicted. Agree on the presentation to it's the same everey week which does not bother me as I go for the racing but to attract new fans maybe better interaction with the riders as in better parades or riders going up to the bar to meet fans after the racing as that might attract interest, the riders could just take turns. Going to be a very short season which again does not help as the gap until nest season will be a very long time. The whole speedway calender is a joke, we in the kids summer holidays but hardly any fixtures. The local buissness's really do seem to help out to keep the speedway going without a doubt i'd agree.

Your wrong about this, the track was watered yesterday as I watched the tractor waiting for the riders to finish there track walk but then I think it was the meeting sponsors on a track walk delayed the watering until they moved out of the way this was about 5.30 so that's when the track was watered. The weather and drying wind just dried it out. I stood on the back straight and there was zero dust there, obviously not saying there was no dust as could clearly see there was but just stand away from the wind direction. Bar the results no one can complain of the quality of racing the last two meetings as there has been more passing than most tracks see.

Cook has let this team down masively this season missing them early crucial meetings which we could easily have won if he had been bothered to turn up. Just a pity Klindt was not available a couple of weeks earlier as I agree Kemp is not the same quality. I think Jackobsen is a decent rider but needs to just calm down a little and be patient instead of making stupid attempts to pass, he going to really hurt himself if he keeps that up.

Credit for Cook for turning up for Jay's meeting, but he could not even do all his rides before packing in again. Seen him changed on 1st bend watching when he should have been riding, sore shoulder !!!!

I don't think it's Comets fans claiming Kemp is a poor signing it's others. Some comets fans just don't realise that Cook has been at fault quite a few times with his exploits away from the track but they defend him to the hilt with his mental health issues. Cook is a good rider but Workington could not continue with his commitment to not turning up and not riding.

No shock this is it ? Rode well too when he did bother to turn up this season Andrew gave him a second chance or maybe a 5th chance but he did not take it.

Has anyone 1 spare South Stand ticket for Friday & Saturday ?

I think using the riders away average for guest booking would be a much fairer or equal way to replace the rider missing.

Very early call off this, forcast does not look that bad to make a call now.

My concern on Cook is he has not been near since his "injury" even only living down the road which I find strange, you would think he would be down supporting his team mates.

Strange with Cook missing again, not even been near the track the last two home meetings which seems strange considering how close he lives. Edinburgh away is certainly a track we need him at. Just seen Edinburgh post on teams but nothing off Workington looks like Max not riding either

I'd say they had his Kevlars made with the rest of the team as this looked to be a done thing once 4 meetings were complete. I'm a bit suprised by some of the comments on Facebook about this being an excellent signing and Awsome let's just calm down a bit and give the lad a chance he has a under 3pt average for a reason after quite a bit of experiance now. Just hope his liking for Northside can kick him on to the potencial that both Poole and Glasgow seen in him, he should by now be a +4 pt rider.

This whole incident was how not to run a sport. I was watching the stream and the angle definately backed the referee's original call and it should have stayed that way. The way it unfolded was embarassing to say the least, even the phone footage made it a 50 50 call as you could say Cook was leading and Battye should not have gone for a pass that was not on which to me was what Jackobson did trying to go around Battye on that same turn. It's a big manouve to try and pass around the outside at Berwick and pull it off that high. Greg should still have been no where near the box to be in a position to show the referee anything but as for Willie to actually watch it well I still can not belive he did never mind then change his already made announcement. Was not going to change the meeting much as Berwick were fantastic out of the gate espesially prior to ht9 but was still wrong.

Gonna be a struggle today now, after all the positives from the first home meeting this is the last thing we need. Surely there is a better option than Cluff available, he has hardly scored a point riding at reserve for Edinburgh this season. Its not even a phone call you would make asking if Cluff was available. And young Jamie is so far out of his depth its doing him and the Comets no good at all, why was he ever signed ?

I always thought once the decision had been announced that was it. Came over very poor on the live stream. They even showed some clip they received from a fan on the 3rd bend.

I thought it was a stupid move from Niklas to try and go around turns 3&4 at Berwick not knockkng him for effort but there was no room up around there, even if they had not clipped each other I think he would have ended up in the fence. Really bad decision from the ref to change his mind and then exclude Craig even though after the stream showed a reply off someone's phone Craig left him with very little room Comets gating was shocking to say the least up to heat 9.

Why has Craig pulled out of ht13 ?

To me it's either use guests for a while or it's change both reserves, think we all agree it seems to soon for young Jamie to be in the Championship it's just going to ruin his confidance. He was miles off the pace at Redcar.

Weekend P&P cancelled plus 1st meeting so going to be a while until our 1st meeting as the track is being used next week for them Flat Track racing events on Saturday and Sunday.
