Obviously Edinburgh have done very well in signing Sweden's best pair to ride for them, who would have thought it? Perhaps Sweden have gone for up and coming riders rather than picking Jacob Thorssell or Oliver Berntzon or Kim Nilsson 🤔 Edited April 21 by SharpenRake

If those who run it don't take it seriously, (as is clearly shown by their fixture planning), then they cannot be surprised if fans don't....

Not much the club can do they have tried to get the Swedish federation to change their picks as they have a large pool to pick from of riders who don’t have a fixture that weekend and have decided to pick the two riders who do for the the same side. They weren’t very accommodating or nice when asked to reconsider their pick either put it that way. Paco being chosen for Italy bit of a given. szkocjasid
From John Campbell "We will always be proud to have high-quality riders in our side that are being called up by their international federations and we wish Paco, Victor, and Jonatan, all the very best. It is a great opportunity to perform on the international stage. Let's be honest no-one considers these three "high quality" riders when it comes to international meetings. Paco was always going to be missing. Can't understand the Swedish selection, if you can pick a stronger pair who didn't have a league match that day why wouldn't you? Almost sound like the Swedish team manager is a Berwick fan?

I just don't understand that, if it was the top Swedish riders, then yes I get why they'd think that.

Unsure, as the club asked the question as to why them as they have a fixture when several others don’t. They didn’t really care is probably the best way of summing up their response. soupy
They all know at the start of the season when they sign these riders who might be missing due to riding in other countries or for the nation they represent.
